November 17, 201015 yr Win32/Almanahe.B is a virus that replicates via network shares. It install a rootkit on the system and can download and execute arbitrary files. Microsofts Encyclopedia gives some info, removal advice.
November 17, 201015 yr Call me lazy but rather than fussing around with removing a rootkit, I'd rather go with a clean install instead. They're nasty otherwise. EDIT: OP, once you do remove the rootkit, get something better than Microsoft Security Essentials, please! :( Avast is pretty good and it's free.

The fact that this virus got caught proves it.
