strength to glory

many people wear glorys and strength's. but im curious as to what is better for the whip. the glory ammy? or str ammy? although i know fury is better. but im not rich like that just yet.

give me your stats, equipment, potions, and general set up.

stuff like whether ur on slayer task or not.

And i'll give you the accuracy you need to have, or have higher than, for the strength amulet to be better than a glory.

strength is better max hit but no accuracy bonus, so it's only good if you have good accuracy.

of course glory has negligible defense bonuses and +3 prayer, but I'm going to ignore that for the sake of calculation simplicity

Akuma, switch to super strength potions.

i dont see the difference. other then when i use super str. i go to 100 str. when i use bax spec i go to 102str. and then i dont have to buy a ton of 3k costing pots.

The difference is that you have a whole spec bar to use if you switch to a super set instead of baxe spec, and with a dds or EE that spec bar can really help on slayer tasks.

3k gp is nothing though.

look up laura's daily activities guide.

If you're not making at least 500k gp a day, even if you're only playing 15 minutes a day, you're doing something wrong.

you should really get a berserker ring too.

Once again, if you're having money issues, you should just read laura's guide.

anyways I did that calc for your set up.

Ignoring prayer and defense, strength amulet is better than glory at 68% accuracy and better.

On that note, at what accuracy is strength ammy better than fury?

What situations does this translate to for someone with maxed gear/stats/pray/potions?

(Don't care about pray bonus or defence)

just give me the stats/gear in question

Say, 99 att/str, Rapier, slayer task, extreme potions, turmoil, rune defender - str ammy will be better.

I piety the fool.

Strength actually gives a higher strength bonus than either the glory or fury.

But glory/fury give defense and attack stats, which the strength ammy lacks.

Generally speaking (for slayer/training), I'd probably go with the glory/fury.

How about bandos, slayer helm (task), rune defender, rapier, fire cape, d boots, regular zerker ring, barrows gloves. W/ turmoil and extremes/ovl. Max stats.

Sorry to hijack, but seems relevant enough to the initial question.

Strength would be better at about 80%+ accuracy for that set up.

ignoring prayer/defense.

With bandos + fire cape your prayer bonus is only 4, so the fury still wins, but not on it's massive dps advantage.

Either way I don't think you can get the 85%+ accuracy needed for str/dfs to be better w/o defender and fury very often.

Use glory. Not only does it have a wider variety of bonuses (unlike str), it has the ability to teleport for 4 charges.

It's already been proven how power > str, so the same should apply with glory.
