Hypercam and Camstudio are both free and pretty good. :)

PC - Hypercam, Camtasia, etc

Mac - harder to find good free programs, I just went ahead and bought Screenium

I have alwasy found camstudio good on windows, but I now use ubuntu so I couldn't tell you about more recent versions

I'd agree with Camtasia, I have the full most recent studio version and I find it very useful and pretty easy to use.

If you can't afford to pay for it, you know what to not do. :shades:
