Keeping skillcapes untrimmed

I'll soon be getting multiple 99's but I would like to keep my current cape untrimmed, is this possible?

I've heard that dying in f2p, getting the levels and telegrabbing the old capes from my gravestone will keep them untrimmed, is this still true? If so, are there any methods for dying in f2p relatively close to a bank? If this won't work, is there another method that will?

It is possible, i know someone who did that before.

Yep, just redo the trick for every 99. If its a members only 99, such as herblore and summoning in my case, then you just die on f2p world, hop to p2p world, get the level, hop back and telegrab your cape. I used the 6 minute grave for this, and had at least 2 minutes left. Still have my 2 original untrimmed hp capes :shades:

 

Oh, and as for where to die, I always did it in falador with the white knights. After dying, just go to the lumbridge bank, teleport to falador, get the level up (switch worlds if applicable), and telegrab the capes.

Thanks, one other question. Will I still be able to see my gravestone timer when I'm on a different world or will I need to keep track of the time myself?

It will show on different worlds

If you're poisoned it will still kill you in F2P, so you could try that.

 

And keep in mind, this method may not work anymore but it's worth a try I suppose. Not sure if it's classified as bug abuse or what either.

I have seen the glitch before and can confirm that it works. One word of advice though. It is against the game rules to do it, so don't go around flaunting your untrimmed capes too much.
