Can someone please explain effigies.

Featured Replies

I quit for 8 months and have no idea what effigies are or what they do. Or how you get them.... Can anyone fill me in.

tip.it tends to be out of date and rather uninformative. It's also pretty clunky to use. I would say broken, not fixed.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

there's to many problems, sure I could fix effigies, but that'd still leave several thousand other items in need of fixing. That's why a wiki will always work better then a staffed website, the number of users fixing things prevents them from ever becoming severally outdated.

You all did a great job helping answer his question with your debate of outdated information.

Effigies are drops from monsters that require a random set of skills to open

There are four phases to an effigy, and you get xp in which ever skill you use to open it

Starved, requires a level 91 skill, 15k xp

Nourished, Requires a level 93 skill, 20k xp

Sated, requires a level 95 skill, 25k xp

Gorged, requires a level 97 skill, 30k xp

Each phase has two skill options, one of them is assistable, one of them is not. You will ALWAYS see the same skills paired up

Cooking and firemaking

Fletching and woodcutting

Construction and Thieving

Runecrafting and Summoning

Crafting and agility

Smithing and Mining

Farming and Fishing

Heblore and Hunter

After you open all 4 effigy stages you will get a dragonkin lamp, which you can use on any skill you wish to get xp. The higher your skill, the more xp you get.

If you are unable to open the effigy on your own, you must either keep it until you raise your levels, or find someone to assist you to open it.

Effigies can be stored in your bank, but the Dragonkin lamp at the end cannot. So if you plan on using a bunch of lamps on a skill at one time at the very end, save your effigies in the Gorged stage.
