Nifflin Posted January 3, 2011 Share Posted January 3, 2011 Okay, so to try and cut costs of leveling herblore, I'm looking to farm my own torstols. I already have the scroll of life. I was wondering how long it would take to make a few hundred of these juju farming potions from scratch to help cut costs and give me some hunter exp. My levels are in my siggy. Can someone give me a basic setup for obtaining these at my level. I don't mind if it's inefficient as the way I see it I will be saving money on herblore and leveling hunter at the same time, both of which I need to do. It will also be a break from the grind, which is always nice. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. What you did is pretty much what I'm looking to do, I just don't even know where to start. Have a look at Unknown_Warriors guide in the AoW. It's aimed at someone with 81+ hunter already, but it does cover a lot of the basics to get started. I in fact just started doing this about an hour ago with 68 hunter (had a bunch of hunter pots) and it's working quite swimmingly. My basic setup was just 4 traps bought from Mambo as that's all you really need. Here's what I did to get started: 1. Teleport to the area and talk to mambo a bit. Get some free seeds from him. 2. Head south and over the vine and clear all the patches of weeds. Supercomp and plant the red blossom into the flower patch. 3. Get out of the farming area and you should already start seeing a whole bunch of commons walking around. Go ahead with regular box trapping. I had a few arctic bears as well and after my little run of 160ish catches, I had 3 ugune seeds. Blake Posted January 3, 2011 Share Posted January 3, 2011 It's actually better to plant the blue blossom, because you need that for the Igneous (?) Jadinkos, which is the secondary for the farming pot. After you get the seed for the scentless potion (I forgot what one), plant that and catch the Jadinko which drops the secondary. They help a lot. You can bait the traps with the vines you get from normal jadinkos pretty quick. Don't forget the Arctic Bear, it probly adds 10k xp/hr. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

D Jay99 Posted January 3, 2011 Share Posted January 3, 2011 http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Herblore_Habitat#Jadinkos You want to hunt common until you can hunt carrion (those only drop herb seeds and drop them more commonly, you should have enough other seeds already from catching commons), and you need to catch igneous for the farm pot 2nds. You can get both igneous and carrion in the same area for a while by switching habitat between the 2, can be faster when you need both seeds and 2nds.
