brad1431
I am getting bored lately and what some advice on what to work on next. The least likely thing for me would be DG. I am never on at the same time and I cant be paying strict attention to the game for a prolonged period of time, cause I always have distractions. I have been slaying and hunting to get charms and cash for summoning. I am 89 now and have the charms for 90 right now, with the goal of getting to a yak to just make all other training easier and to make more money. I started mining LRC to get gold to use to superheat to train magic and mining. This goal would be to get mage up for solo Bandos. But I would like to have a new goal, cause I am getting bored. I have had people suggest DK's but I have yet to find a good up to date guide inlucing AOW. I also have 1300 drag bones in bank, but I dont know how to do guilded altar so I just keep banking them. I would like to do something or work towards something that would make a lot of money, again, the least likely thing would be DG. And for those that will still recommend DG, if you are going to do so, post a link to a guide for DG that is easy to understand and can be done solo with only doing it for no more then a half hour at a time. So dont say Cq rush this or pretige set that, none of that makes any sense at all. Thanks
Crossed_Body
Sounds like your problem is a lack of knowledge. For DKS, the best thing to do is go duo or trio with some friends the first time, just to see what it's like, the terrain, the luring, the monsters and the damage you take. Better than any guide.Get the level to make your own gilded altar, and then there's nothing easier: Bring 2 marrentils, a bank teleport of your choice, a beast of burden with bones and a tinderbox and just tele home, light the marrentils and offer the bones. Tele to bank, repeat. You could also get your ranged level up. Possibly magic too, Ice Strykewyrms are very good exp and money. As for DG, your best option for is learning by experimenting in medium dungeons, because I see you can't really get the picture from guides alone. Once you're familiarised with how to move effectively and what to do, you should be able to solo med dungeons in about 10 minutes.

Low C
Solo till 70 then learn to key by watching videos and finding friends who are higher level dg than you. Then you can properly lead a team and weed out the idiots as well as you possibly can.
brad1431
I dont get DG at all, I would really like to do something else, but it sounds like everyone thinks it is the greatest thing going. I still have no idea how to do DG, I have read guides they dont make any sense. I dont get prestige, I dont get different size rooms, and I dont understand the purpose of any of it. anyone have a really good beginners guide for soloing? Quyneax
Well I'm afraid the best way to 'get' dungeoneering is to solo a bit but I can tell you what to do: Take your ring of kinship, open the interface, create a party. Click 'floor' and note all floors not marked as done (empty squares). You want to do all these floors once. Set your complexity to 1 and do them. Once you have done all floors once, you reset. Then you do all floors again, and then you reset again (I'm just saying what to do, not why you do it). You want to do the last 5-10 floors you can do on complexity 6, medium size. How many depends on how much you like them. The purpose is to get levels to unlock content which helps you doing other skills. You can purchase some rewards with tokens you gain through dungeoneering as well. These rewards include the most powerful weapons in the game (besides pvp weapons which are extremely costly for normal use). transcript80
start over. Sounds silly, and up to some degree it is. I assume you haven't unlocked all the floors you can do for lvl54 that you currently have. The first run, to unlock all floors available for your level, are usually done on complexity 1, size small. Do all floors you can for your level, and you'll see your prestige rising with every new floor. Once you have unlocked all possible floors for your level, reset. The prestige (actually the amount of consecutive completed floors since your last reset) will remain, allowing for higher xp per dungeon when you start over. When you have unlocked all floors possible for your level, reset, start over. Do all floors at complexity 1 small, except for the last 5-10 floors (as stated in the post above), do them on complexity 6, medium for more xp. The reason for this is that the base xp for the lower floors is low to begin with, so it's more time efficient to rush through them to the higher level floors which provide more xp. I hope this is comprehensive for you. you can do c1 rushes on the lower floors in like 5-10 minutes a dungeon. For the larger c6 floors, more time is needed. Sumpta
Or you could do something else entirely if you don't enjoy DG. Still, it's not a bad idea to invest a bit into understanding the basics of the skill... you might be missing out on something you'd really like. And it's not just the chaotic weapons that are worthwhile. A gem bag (really good when slaying) and a scroll of life are great and not that costly. Anyway, non-DG plan: you have a really good cb and slayer level, but your other skills are a bit behind. Why not work on them? Keep slaying, you're at the level where it gets really fun, it should be profitable enough and quite fast too. Do farm (herb) runs between tasks. You can make good profits and get up that farming level at the same time. If you feel that's too slow, mix it up with some tree runs. Get your daily bstaves in varrock and sell them for a profit or save them up for some massive crafting xp. Save up money for your remaining con levels and a gilded altar to burn those dragon bones. Try to get in herb assists every once in a while (for example at Daemonheim on W117). You'll get good and free herblore xp and unlock overloads - if you're into bosses, they will be a great asset. If you want to get away from skilling and take a break, do the quests you haven't done yet that have a reward you'd like. (Construction xp, for example.) Do weekly distractions like the circus (agility, mage and ranged xp) and penguins for fast xp in tedious skills. Manage your kingdom for resources and/or profit. You could set yourself a total level goal, for example by trying to get all your skills 75+ or 80+. The better your overall skills, the easier DG will be as well, especially if you're going to solo. Continue to mine LRC, keep the gold bars you make for quick crafting levels. This way, you mix things up a bit and get easy levels that could come in handy later. If you really don't like skilling and want to do more combat, maybe look for a clan in your time zone that suits you. Whether we like it or not, Jagex is implementing more and more group activities for which you'll need partners. In a clan, you'll make friends to go out boss hunting with. Some clans also have skilling contests and the like. You'll learn the tricks of the trade with them, making it easier for you to go out soloing afterwards. Many clans have their own guides and forums to look for advice. If you don't like the clan idea, try chatting with people when you're slaying. You'll meet people who are online when you are and most slayers are a friendly bunch once you get them to start chatting instead of just standing silently next to each other in the same room. Try out sticking to a home world, you'll be running into the same people a lot (especially during herb runs). Also a great way to meet people.
