Poet
Hello! I would need a little help with hand cannons. I have 99 ranged and 70 firemaking and i dont know is it worth it to buy one or not because it can light up and than it will be destroyed. What you guys say? Thanks for all comments! Slaykan
Depends what are you getting it for? Good Timber does not grow with ease, the stronger the wind, the stronger the trees. There is dignity in suffering, nobility in pain, but failure is a salted wound, that burns over and over again.

Zaaps1
It's not worth it for bosses and unless you make a lot of money per hour, it's probably not worth it for training either. ~It's Super Effective! Quyneax
It's the highest dps ranged weapon in Runescape, has awesome range and an accurate special, and it blows up. Get a higher firemaking level, and use it. Grimy_Bunyip
It's perfectly viable for a number of bosses. The cost is up to like ~800k gp/hour for endless firing. This pricetag is fine for bosses like TD's or DK's where you're not necessarily firing all the time. But you should expect to blow up as many as 2 per hour, even with 99 firemaking. It's far too expensive to use for training, unless you value your time at like 8-10 mil gp/hour from a prior calculation I did. foursideking
The hand cannon is an odd tool, it works well, then explodes. In sense, in runescape it is premature e....well...you get the idea. Either way, it is only really useful for killing nomad w/o melee-tanking....and even then, chaotic xbow is better in that you know when it'll get destroyed.... ghjkl
Good range and damage but if all your cannons explode you would be forced to tele.
foursideking
Lol...I'd love to see one in an endurance test. Give one guy a hand cannon/infinite ammo, another guy bronze c'bow/enchanted bronze bolts...most total damage after 24hours wins.....lol

Give one guy a hand cannon/infinite ammo, another guy bronze c'bow/enchanted bronze bolts...most total damage after 24hours wins.....lol Seriously just stop. Your posts have been horrible advice for the last week. Dont give advice about things you clearly do not know about. Have you ever used a Hand Cannon ? OT It is an amazing range weapon, be it pvm, pvp, or w/e else your in to. Although I would raise your fm, if you plan to use consistently. In other words: We got a ban hammer in varrock mines. It's jackin yo [censor] bots, slappin yo macros up, tryna ban em, so ya'll need to hide yo scripts, hide yo clicks, and hide yo logs cause they bannin errbody up in here. SirIzenhime
Lol...I'd love to see one in an endurance test. Give one guy a hand cannon/infinite ammo, another guy bronze c'bow/enchanted bronze bolts...most total damage after 24hours wins.....lol Shooting what though? It depends on what your ranging as to whether the handcannon is worth using or not.Although, it actually would not surprise me if the hand cannon still one your little "test", as flawed as it may be. You're missing the point btw. The point isn't for the handcannon to last you a long time, the point is for you to use it to kill a monster that is profitable, using it because of it's superior DPS, so that you can get faster kills of said monster, and actually profit more per hour, even though you use a more expensive weapon.
