Water attacks better against fire giants?

I'm maging some tasks now, thx to great xp from hati gloves.

Are the strongest attacks always the best like fire blast on fire giants, or should I follow nature's logics and use water blasts?

Not sure whether it works like that?

I'm pretty sure Fire Giants are weak to water spells so while your max hit might be lower you would in theory hit more often and more consistently against them. However since outside of Daemonheim the combat triangle isn't balanced all that well using fire spells is probably equally as effective.

Ok sounds good, then I'll just use fire blast since I got way too many compared to my other runes :)

As far as the fire giants being weak to water spells I think the confusion comes partly from pearl bolts e. The spec hits harder and more often on firey mobs. Seeing as you're looking for mage exp from the hati gloves though go with fire blast, higher base casting exp and if it splashes more it means you'll not waste exp on constitution.

 

But you know that the magic exp bonus isn't only for combat spells right?
