Dungeoneering Tip

Hey guys, I just started DG and I want to rush for that Bonecrusher :P

 

Anyhow, it costs 34k in tokens and after that (not immediately after but sometime in the future) will be going for some other items probably start off with scroll of life and if I ever get to a respectable DG level where I can actually make more then a couple of hundred tokens an hour - hopefully one of those chaotic weapons.

 

I was wondering should I begin to specialize in any classes? The beginning costs are pretty reasonable and I was wondering if investing in this would possible help me to get any of these items faster.

I know it's hard to actually calculate if/how much faster these rings will make you - so any tips from people who have though about this/tested this method out before?

 

On an additional note, when should I try go for large dungeons? I tried to party in the lower floors and 99.99% of the times - the party I'm in failed and was a lot less efficient then actually just solo-ing the floor at C6.

Looking at your combat stats they are pretty much in the same range - this means melee will be by far the best primary attack for you. Using the berserker class ring + a two-handed sword would give you the best all-round performance.

 

As for teams sucking, that will keep happening until you either hit 90 dungeoneering (at which point they will not be the best, but better) or 130+ combat and 80 dungeoneering. At that point you can use w148 instead of w117.

 

I'd recommend solo/team with friends until 60+ dg.

get berserker and gatherer class rings. do the last 5 floors that you can access on large with a few friends if possible.

Bonecrusher is fairly useless imo... but other than that try to team up with your buds as much as possible as solo xp is pretty abysmal.

I figure bonecrusher is pretty useful (as I like to train prayer as I combat)

I want to camp at hill giant (for charms) and the bonecrusher will help a lot at that point.

 

I have to wait til 90+ DG to get into good parties? The solo xp is sooo horrible, should I be doing C6 the whole time?

I hear that some people rush C1 to the last few levels then do a large dungeon or something? Is it something reasonable to solo?

The xp is exponential, meaning that it sucks hard at low levels, and gets very high at higher levels... s stick it out until you get to 85+ with a good team.

 

Until then, team as much as possible, because solo xp sucks. Balls.
