return of the drop party 'scam'?

Featured Replies

Does the free trade and wilderness updates mean that people can be group tele'd to wilderness and into a group of Pkers while being led to believe theyre attending a '100mil' drop party like before?

I didn't fall for it ;), I just wondered if it was actually possible to get away with again, and if people would actually bother trying it when so many people know about it.

but then again there's so many new playes so I guess there's a potential victim group.

I feel sorry for them.

Yeah some people will try anything, so the best thing that everyone else can do is just to stay alert and don't be fooled. "If something is too good to be true, it probably is."

If long time players see something like this happening they can always step in and help reveal the scam, that ways newer players will be a little more safer. :)

I believe you get a warning message telling you it is in the wilderness.

Turn accept aid off...then you're guaranteed protection...

A friend of mine went to one lol, not wearing anything as he suspected it was a scam...

Supposed '250m drop party' teled everyone to ice pleateau, where there were a few rushers/barragers waiting

Apparently the scammer could have got up to 100m
