madden05pro1 Posted February 11, 2011 Share Posted February 11, 2011 One of my firends is currently working on getting 99 strength, as soon as he gets there he has challenged me to a best 2 out of 3 fight with a 1m stake each fight, he has me beat in atk/str/def/range, but he only has about 60 quest points, i have access to ancients and lunar magic and have a higher prayer and magic level than he does. He will either be using void melee or verac's to fight me, any advice on how to beat him? I have verac's, void, a whip, and about 12m to work with. You don't know that he's going to allow all forms of hybriding do you? You have until he gets 99att/str or whatever to bring your levels up too. take advantage of it. 1mil stakes aren't that much anyways. don't stress too much. Use your highest ice spell and go as far away from him as you possibly can while still casting, and he shouldn't be able to retaliate with ranged or melee. If he gets close to you, claw and then back off and farcast some more. If he does as the guy above suggests and disallows movement/magic or anything else that breaks your strategy, tell him to leave it on or you're not fighting, because the odds would then be stacked ridiculously in his favor. The most productive use of your time in the mean time would be to try to dungeoneer enough to afford an arcane stream necklace. Quyneax Posted February 11, 2011 Share Posted February 11, 2011 Get 82 magic - ice blitz hits 260 max and freezes for 15 seconds.Get 70 dungeoneering - the arcane stream necklace comes with 15% magic damage.Get a staff of light - at only about 2m it has 15% magic damage and the special reduces melee damage by 50%. Only use this if you're in big trouble.Get Korasi's sword - it's the largest advantage any quester has over a non-quester.Ideally, you would also get special recovers - with those you can do two Korasi specs. Use void mage to fight him - wear void, deflector, barrows gloves, arcane stream, staff of light, mystic/infinity boots, and a god cloak. Make sure summoning is OFF. Farcast. Drink a magic potion beforehand - it boosts your damage by another 15%. With all that ice blitz should hit ~400 max. At the start of the duel drink the pot, then press f4 (to open your spellbook) click ice blitz and click your opponent. Make sure to pray protect from melee or ranged depending on what he's using, and pray mystic might as well. Move away from your opponent once he is frozen. Keep casting. Drink a super strength, attack and defence potion in between hits. Continue praying ranged or magic. Once your opponent is at low health, switch to your void melee helmet, amulet of strength, and korasi's sword. Press f5 and click special attack. Click your opponent. Drink special recover and spec again. Switch back to mage gear, cast ice blitz and run away. Repeat. Your inventory would be: melee helmet, korasi's, amulet of strength, super or extreme attack/strength/defence, magic potion, 2 super restore, 4 brew, rest rocktail. madden05pro1 Posted February 11, 2011 Author Share Posted February 11, 2011 I haven't done void stares back yet for Korasi's sword, and i don't think i have the money for 85 herb for spec restores. He is currently at 97 strength, i should be able to easily get 82 mage by the time he gets 99, there's no way i'll be getting 70 dungeoneering for the arcane stream.
