Soul Split and Turmoil at Nomad?

Is it worth attempting to kill him with just Soul Split, and no Turmoil? Or should I swap to prayers and use Piety?

Only on 93 Prayer at the moment, was one claw drop from 95 before I went away for 5 weeks over Christmas, and free trade kinda kill that, so possibly no turmoil for a while. xD

I will be attempting to kill him with melee (zs + black d'hide, possibly Karil's if I'm feeling up for it).

Stats are:

94 att

93 str (will be 94 before I go for it)

99 def

98 hp

93 prayer

80 sum

85 mage

Try void if you have it. I'd seriously consider simply waiting until turmoil also. But yes soul split + leeches may beat piety here because you are using quite a lot of restores anyway (= enough prayer). You'd want to use leech magic/attack/defence/strength which drains about 4 points/3 seconds (soul split adding another 1.5 for 5.5/3 seconds before prayer bonus).

With similar stats and gear ('cept I used BGS), I killed him with tort + titan (though I think Kyatt is better?)

I used piety, and I hear leeching is better than piety. Since you have SS you should be able to beat him.

If anything, at least give it a proper go and see how close you get. You can then decide if it's worth trying a time more or two, or just put it off until you get the turm.

SW cape is great, you'll love it when you get it.

Dont use karils, waste of cash for the same offensive bonuses as black d hide and on top of that defense is almost useless there.
