89 - 96 summoning.

Hello,

 

I was wondering if anyone could tell me about how long it would take me to get the charms for 89-96 summoning getting the charms ONLY from slayer. I've reached my other goal of 85 herb (potting for extremes) and i just wanted to know how long it would take me to get around 4.9m xp worth the charms, i have the charms right now for about 90.5 summoning. The reason i've chosen to do slayer over bursting/barraging, camping waterfiends, camping black demons, ect. is simply because i need the money i'll make from slayer to afford getting 96 summon.

 

EDIT: Also forgot to mention that i'll be using the effigys i'll get from slayer on summon as well.

Figure about 1:1 slayer to summoning xp ratio. With effigies it might be slightly better then that. So I would figure you could get the 4.9mil summoning xp you want in about 4.7mil slayer xp.

 

EDIT:

 

Waterfiends are actually profitable, but they are incredibly boring. Good luck though.

I'm actually in the same boat as you. Just got 90 summoning (have 91 in charms in bank), and im currently 95.5 slayer. I'm trying to make my summoning and slayer max near the same time (have 51 effigies banked atm, haven't used any), but I would like to use as few effigies as possible in the end.

 

It's sort of hard to calculate your summon xp gains for me when you're going to be using a charm+effigy basis along the way, but I can give you an idea of how i've done it.

 

I started slayer again at 1.2M slayer xp and 200k summoning xp. So far I have picked up every charm I can, even golds, and I currently have 6M summ xp banked. (5.4M current xp + 600k banked), and I have 9.2M slayer xp. 99.9% of my charm drops have been from slayer. So, in 8M slayer xp, I've gotten 5.8M summoning xp, for a slayer:summ ratio of 1.38. Again, I haven't used any of my effigies on it, but if I did, there is over 2.2M summ xp to be gained from 51 effigies, meaning that the previous poster is correct in a 1:1+ slayer:summoning ratio.

 

It's hard to say in terms of actual time, seeing as it really depends on what tasks, you do, how much you play, your gear, ect. But just thought I would share my data I've gotten to help you out, and back up the previous poster.

Hmm so without camping something like rock lobs,waterfiends, or blk demons its gonna take me till 97 slayer assuming its 1:1 without effigys...that kinda stinks i might just get to like 92/93 then camp somewhere (probably barrage rock lobs with wolper) for the rest of the charms for 96

Both waterfiends and cannoning black demons are better for crimson charms than bursting lobs at this point in the game. Also black demons have noice effigies and you can urn the ashes for some bonus prayer exp.

You can set up your block/cancel list for a better sum : slayer exp ratio.

Which tasks i should block for better sum:slayer exp ratio? at this point idc about if i like the task or not i just really want to get 96 summoning.

atm my block list constist of: abby specs, kalphites (should i unlock the alternate dungeon from Do No Evil and unblock this task?), Waterfiends, Bloodvelds, and fire giants. Right now i have around 1.5k golds, just over 1k crims, 400 or so blues, and around 750 greens.

 

I have 879 points to block/cancel tasks. My current slayer assignment is hellhounds.

Definitely take waterfiends off of your block list. They are a fast task when done correctly and great for charms. Especially if you haven't done your familiarization for the week. I haven't had a kalphite task...ever... :/ so im unsure how good they are for charms.

 

Edit

 

Hellhounds a good slayer exp but outside of gold charms they drop almost none. I would cancel/block them.

You should unblock spectres and cannon them, and hellhounds are decent effigies, too. Waterfiends are great charms. Bloodvelds are fast effigies as well, do them. And Kalphites are a bit of a grey area, try doing them off-task and see how you like it.

 

I'd block strykewyrms (not ice of course), fire giants, warped tortoises and one task you hate (but not wyverns, waterfiends etc.).
