Noxx
Well i've been skilling my ass off for just about 2 weeks now. No combat at all. Atleast i think it's been 2 weeks. Anyhow, i thought i might switch to something a bit more fun every now and then to break the boredom of skilling. As i already have 99 Slayer i really don't feel like doing that. I want to do something i can benifit from. This leads be to Cannoning for effigies. I have 2 options on the table. Black Demons or Steel Dragons. I thought i would start out with 50k Cannonballs which should last me a while. I am assuming Steel Dragons will give me a hell of a lot more effigies. Am i correct in assuming this? How many effigies can i expect with 50k cannonballs? If i decide to keep the bones to later use them for prayer, would the other drops cover the cost? (although if i get a decent amount of effigies i am not too worried about the cost).I assume Bandos, Rapier, D Def, Verac, Neit Helm, Fire Cape + Turm + Overloads would be the fastest?Should i bother with Super Prayers or would normal Prayer Pots be alright? Any other advice you guys can offer me?
Troll Bomber
Where would you cannon steels, brim or resource dung? Tbh i would use at black demons, they have a confirmed effigy rate that is rather oustanding (can't think of off the top of my head), but I'm pretty sure you'd get way less kills at steels of course and be wasting lots of cballs. Even if money isn't an issue, I would place your bets on black demons. You're going to kill them 10x faster and get loads more effigies.
Vex
http://forum.tip.it/topic/280097-wip-effigyscape/ 4 options to use a cannon. I need to amend a few things tomorrow with a couple of tests. Crawlers are now around 800 kills per hour with a Steel Titan. & Black Demons are now around ~350k profit per hour assuming you yak 150 of the 300 ashes that are dropped per hr. Steels at wildy just take slightly longer to get to now (safely) DKS fairy ring -> canoe from arctic hunting area. http://www.[Caution! They're pretty depressing. Is it possible to bank all the Ashes at Black Demons without using Summoning pots?Aslo i'll be using Brim Resource Dungeon for Steel Titans. That is possible, right? Bladewing
pretty sure cannoning black dragons would be better than steel dragons anyway i would do black demons, they have better effigies and charms How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit

Vex
You can use Brimhaven resource - however the room is extremely large and you will find your cannon aggroing far steels & subsequently not helping you kill them as other dragons patrol in the way etc, it is also single combat. You can't bank 300 ashes per hour with a yak at black demons. You can do around 150-160 without summoning potions + another 30 more or so as you get room in invent + yak. http://www.[Caution! Noxx
Okay so i'll try out Black Demons then. I guess i could get a few urns and get some free Prayer Exp while im there, although i'm not too keen on getting 96 prayer any time soon.Any idea how many effigies i can expect with 50k C'balls? Vex
Not to be expected, but based on theoretical rate & kill samples of 100k + kills (1/500 rate) @ 9 Cballs per Kill 5550 Kills11.1 Effigies @ 8 Cballs per Kill 6250 Kills12.5 Effigies @ 7 Cballs per kill 7100 Kills14.2 Effigies ~2400 Cballs an hour~ 300 Kills per hour Average rate is probably between 8 & 9 cballs per kill, Also remember if you bring urns - you can't bank any ashes as they won't appear (they go directly into urn) http://www.[Caution!
