Regular antifires vs. Superantifires

So...

Just to get this straight, I'm in quite a dispute here...

I claim that making regular antifires for a certain amount of time would generate more xp than making superantifires in the same timespan.

Making superantifires would of course include getting the feathers.

but am I right?

my reasoning is: Adding a feather to a pre made antifire grants you 210 xp. Making said regular antifire gives you 157 xp, which is about 2/3 of the xp.

So for the supers really be faster xp, you'd need to make a round of picking + mixing in the same time it takes to mix approx. 1.3 invents of regulars, about 18-19 pots.

I've picked about 2k feathers myself, at a decent pace, and I think there's NO WAY you can have such speeds....

I was asked to consider the time it takes to make the extra money the regulars cost, but I can't really see it making that much of a difference if you do GE merching (10-15 mins of work/day)

However, it's late and I can be wrong... If I am, prove me.

thanks <3

What I said was that it is far less efficient to make the regular antifires yourself.

It costs over twice as much to make the antifires rather than buying them. It would be better to make a potion that costs less (gp/xp) and buy regular antifires. Then you make super antifires.

Sometimes you will make potions that give less xp, but the time lost making a lesser xp potion is less than the time it takes to make the money back(if you make any considerable amount at least).

Sometimes you can even make ranging potions for a decent gp/xp rate, and those give more xp than antifires. Even more time saved!

If the argument about money not making a difference is to be valid, you might as well make saradomin brews, since they give 22,5 xp more than antifire potions(and are a 4187 gp loss per potion according to the current guide prices).

Also, ge merching have gotten less profitable overall, the profit margins are smaller and flipping generally takes more time unless you find good items/get lucky.

The last argument I have against this(bit of a cheap shot, but wth), is that to merchant you need to have money available. I know that atm, you don't have that :P

Any prices or gp/xp rates stated are taken from the current guide prices and might be a bit off - I've not done test buys to answer :P

I literally just trained 85-88 herblore last weekend with super antifires... worst decision ever. I had previously made a few super antis with stew/greenman in the past (~100) and was like eh thousands of feathers wont be bad. 4 hours later after nonstop feather picking I was able to start herblore. Sad part is that I can do frosts for 3.5M/hr, so I was shooting myself in the foot by making those.

Oh well... I have my extremes now with over 2k super antifire (4)s lol. will last me the rest of my life.
