February 27, 201115 yr Recommended levels: 80 melees, 70 prayer. Higher levels make the caves faster and easier of course, but 1 defence pures can also get a fire cape, so don't worry too much. Use a decent melee/ranged defence setup: Guthan's platebody, Verac's skirt, Verac's helmet, fury, soul wars cape, barrows gloves, dragon boots, berserker ring, defender or obsidian shield. With higher stats you should definitely take the defender, a helmet of Neitiznot and Bandos. You should basically whip/rapier your way through the caves, using EE(E) specs and rocktail to heal. Bring two pure sets, ee, 15 prayer potions, 5 rocktail, a ranged pot, a rune crossbow and a ranged top. It'd be better to replace the ranged gear with more prayer or rocktail, but you may not want to melee Jad on your first try. If you wanted to do the caves for slayer, I recommend 90+ melees, turmoil and extremes or you'll have to make too much of an effort to make it.
