d34th_r4y
Hey, currently I have a pure with the following stats: 40something health?40 Attack50 Strength1 Defense40 Range26 Mage (should have been 25)26 Prayer Combat level: 43 I've tried pking with him twice today and pretty much got horrible beaten. My setup was iron armor, ammy of strength, dhide chaps and vambs, rune scimmy, rune 2h in my inventory, and some lobs and a strength pot. I know I should probably change him to some range-2h guy but I feel my ranging level is not high enough. What would you recommend I get his stats to before I start pking? And if you have some basic tips feel free to throw them in. My strategy was eat at 200 and switch to 2h when they got to 1/3 hp or something. Thank you very much. Levon_
You're prayer level adds 3.25 combat levels That's 9.75 strength levels someone your combat level has over you Prayer is not worth it until 80+ strength My advice would be make a new account and do range 2h . Also I don't know why you say Mage should only be 25 as it doesn't affect your combat Get p2p on the pure too, way easier to train and make money It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. Everything you've said is 100% accurate a true. That being said...your a [bleep]ing [bleep] douchebag, and none of your advice will ever (or should ever) be taken seriously because of it.disregard good advice because the giver is a douche THAT MAKES YOU A BETTER PERSON
d34th_r4y
Appreciate the help, but I don't want to make a new account. Is there any way I can make the prayer useful? EDIT: P.S. Go Phil Kessel.
LitterBug
Prayer is hard to train on f2p. If you want to level it up in the future - you might as well start as soon as possible. What kind of setups were you losing to?Maybe it's just at lower levels, their defense is a lot more to deal with then later on.I'd keep training str and range (depending on what you want to do) as well as prayer. Once you start hitting those higher levels, you'll definitely see a bigger difference in damage output.
Quyneax
I'd just go for 60 or 70 strength and ranged. Your magic level adds no combat levels, get that up as high as ranged for magic defence. Levon_
@litterbug Leveling up prayer early puts you at a huge disadvantage Your opponents will have 10-12 ranged and strength levels on you at 31 prayer, even more with 44 That's alot considering there is no prayer potions, it does not last a long time and it is a [bleep] to recharge It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. d34th_r4y
Thanks for the help guys. If I get: 40 Attack70 Strength1 Defense70 range70 mage___ prayer? Would that be a good time to start pking seriously? And one final question - In hindsight I should have probably not gotten prayer levels, but I did, so is there any way I can make them useful? Also, if this guy gets pretty high leveled I'll probably make him members anyway, so that's always an option for prayer. Thanks once more.
Levon_
70 range and strength with 31 prayer would be alright but you'd still be fighting against people with 80 range and strength. You would max higher but prayer drains fast It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. Everything you've said is 100% accurate a true. d34th_r4y
Okay. Should I get 31 prayer now or keep 26 for ranging?
Levon_
May aswell get 31 prayer now And I highly recommend getting p2p now for training and money, it's soooooo much faster It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. d34th_r4y
I mean I guess I could get p2p, but I'd rather spend my time/money working on my level 94 main than a pure. Once more thanks.

I took into consideration that right now, he's f2p. Training prayer would be a HUGE time waster if he waited til he got his strength up.He might as well start now and cap it whenever rather then hitting his str cap then keep on training for prayer.
