Herblore, Farming, and BXP

Recommended Posts

Like many others, I intend to train Herblore during BXP, partly because, well, my level in it is so low (plus I will save large amounts of money).

I have been earning money via general moneymaking and have reached a spendable cash pile of about 50m.

Now, my questions are (applying to both during and after BXP):

I'm low leveled in herblore, so I'm at a loss: What should I use to train over the next 25-30 levels?

What should I (herb) farm to maximize exp? Would it be more beneficial for me to farm and use my own herbs (as I have been doing), or farm the herb with the highest profit, then sell them to buy the needed herbs? (With BXP coming, I'm not certain on this.) I also plan to continue collecting mort myre fungus between runs to earn additional money towards the skill.

EDIT: I already have roughly 5k in (unf) ranarr and (unf) irit potions, each.

Many thanks in advance!

I suppose that would be an important thing to add :wall:

I have about 5k (unf) ranarr and 5k (unf) irit, I mostly need help with what I should make after BXP is over. (I'll add to my OP)

You never want to farm herb for exp.

There are tons of other ways to get farming exp at a better rate nontheless.

ALWAYS try to farm the herb that will give you the most profit - this will change as you get the scroll of life/juju potions/etc

I really don't understand why people post all these threads on help and advice asking for the most cost efficient potion. It seems since the announcement of BXP weekend, there's been at least one or two threads created everyday addressing this topic.

Please just look it up (or just google it next time)

For your level

Start off with Super Atk, make Super Str when possible, go for Super Def

cost wise Super Def > Super Atk > Super Str

This is so true.

Cept the few herb seeds tht profit (which you can use for herblore trianing instead of selling if you like for marginally cheaper herb xp) herb seed costs > buying the herbs directly and the xp pay off ito farming doesn't warrant the extra cost to an already expensive skill.

Farming anything but torstol beyond 85 farming is a waste though, don't bother unless you're hasty.

If you can get those 10k pots done at about 2m total xp, you should move onto extremes after the weekend. Make spec recovers, super antifires and extreme attack and strength.
