Sy_Accursed
I've of other people doing this and it seems like a reasonably wise plan but thought I'd ask anyway. In going (eventually) for 99 herby is it a reasonable long term plan to work there by doing overloads and their component parts. Meaning it breaks down into 11 phases of investment/training.1) Super attacks2) super strengths3) super defence4) magic pots5) range pots6 - 10) extreming thoose pots11) finally mixing overloads I worked out the numbers and all the level ups will fall right so I can always make the next required pot.Doing it this way is "only" 4,075 pots to lvl 99 if you include herb cleaning. 4237 if you don't. Is this a viable plan? Vulxai
I would say yes. Doing this method, you'll make use out of these potions, and since they're untradeable, it'll save you the cost of the unnecessary herblore xp. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
Nifflin
The very best way to get 99 herblore is to just make your most efficient pots (use the Grimy sheets to determine this) until you can make spec rests and super antifires. Then make around 1k super antifires for slayer and 2k or so spec rests, then I would make 1k of each extreme with 2k of extreme attack and strength. This should put you around where you need to be to stew to overloads (91+ herblore), then you just make overloads as you need them. This will give you good supplies for slayer (extreme strength and attack) as well as for boss hunting (overloads) while wasting money as little as possible. Cleaning herbs is almost never worth it, mixing your own potions can be if you have the herblore scroll. Really make sure you get that as it should save you millions and millions on the road to 99 berlore. Use boosts in order to start making the untradeable potions asap. TL;DR, your method will waste money. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying. Your method INCLUDES his method, just adds 2 potions to make first. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
Sy_Accursed
Yeah I'm not an efficiency nerd.I know there are other cheaper methods if ya throw in a few extra pots.I just like the easier math and one obvious long term goal to it opposed to making other odd pots here and there. Your method INCLUDES his method, just adds 2 potions to make first. Nope, making every super potion will use a lot more money then making your most efficient potion, selling them, then buying ingredients for extremes. Also skipping out on spec rests and super antifires is wasteful because they are two of the cheapest potions. His method will cost a decent amount more, I cba to do the math but I think it's at least 10-20m more if he plans to go to 99 like that. Don't get me wrong, your method is better, I was referring to your TL;DR version, just saying his method wastes money is a little...off? For lack of better word. And in your original post, you didn't mention buying the super potions, so that threw me off as well. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
green9090
Making all of the super sets and range/mage pots wastes a LOOOT of money. It's easier and less math to be an "efficiency nerd" as you put it, and just make one potion, decided for you by Grimy's spreadsheet, until you can start doing untradables.
