Damn, I hate how the grass in this area of Castelia isn't very responsive. Bulbapedia says it has a small chance of Evee encounters.

I did play Crystal though. And I thought it was terrible. #ImmuneToNostalgia

Banned because there are two Pokémon games that I can think of that are terrible.

 

Pokémon Channel and Pokémon Pinball: R/S.

 

But I do enjoy all the main games though, including crystal.
