Nhs_Xc
Just got the Jad task, so I am going for my first fire cape! I have tried once before with ranging, but died due to mixing up the prayer switching. I would like to do it with melee now. I am planning on wearing barrows, fsh, d defender, whip and skill cape. How many sara brews, super restores, extreme att/str will I need? Should I bother with super defenses? Is it harder to melee Jad rather than range? I'm assuming you keep on protect from melee and then switch to whatever attack from there. Thanks.
Troll Bomber
I haven't done with melee, but I heard it's harder. I think you have the idea down though from what I've heard. Range would be easier imo. If you have troubles with the healers and would like to not have to bother with them at all, you can do what I did to get my cape. Just switch over to deflect prayers and when you get to Jad and "deflect" him to death. So long as you don't actually attack him yourself, the healers won't come, and it's pretty easy going. Just depends on how well you can pray switch. I did the trip in super ghetto gear. FSH, prossy top and bottom, fury, snake books, no shield slot or ring lol, and rune cbow w/ broads. I used 1 range pot, 4 brews, and 7 super rests, so I had enough to do B2B jad if I wanted. Switched to holy symbol and SW cape at jad for longer prayer. Quyneax
Range sucks especially at your stats. You got the idea for Jad down as well, so that's good. Barrows, fsh, defender, all works. Swap the skillcape for a soul wars cape if you can, this will allow you to piety the caves entirely. I'd say, 2 extreme sets (with defence since you lack soul split unless you get ee), ee(e) and a few rocktail, with the rest pray pots. Your stats are so high that just eee should be able to heal you. You don't quite have the skills yet but I highly recommend getting it, at least the regular ee. haqiang
if this is your first time, my suggestion for killing jad is, don't bother with all those healer what not method, chances are, you'll fail, and it is not worth to waste 2-3 more tries for it. range jad to about 60-70% hp with prayer swaping. venge, claw him twice, and switch to rapier/cls/maul or the best melee set up you got and brute force kill him, works every time, i have gotten 7 firecapes through it,died only once because of failed claw spec. This method works fine for people with maxed stat, ovl/extreme and turmoil. edit- i know you don't have turmoil, but i really doubt it is going to effect much, you can ko jad easily. fatherdeath
I've died several times as well , due to the healers, how long does it take to deflect kill him?
Trade_With
I've died several times as well , due to the healers, how long does it take to deflect kill him? Took me about 10/11 mins of deflecting to down him. It's not hard at all, just make sure you don't lag or start to lose concentration. @Trade_With
