Octarine
Ok, so I tank zamorak a lot in the first of the setups below, and it works great. (Emphasise mage defence, pray melee) However I got thinking, and figured out the second setup, whereby using the defender allows you to offset armadyls negative bonuses, and gain higher accuracy. Problems are: -Mage defence is still fine, similar to what I used to have with the first setup with a bss, and that was always great. -Slight losses to the melee defence aren't much of a problem, kril's hiting through prayer attack has 100% accuracy when it happens, and minion is fairly weak. -Biggest problem is the quite major loss to range defence, and I'm wondering if the boosted accuracy would be worth this loss So, in what cases would the second setup most likely beat the first? I usually do 2-man to 4-man zamorak, and quite unsure whether I should make the switch or not. Finally, we do zamorak for fun, I'm well aware the drops aren't fantastic. Doing it til we eventually hilt ;) Tried the alternative tanking setup (emphasise melee defence and pray mage) and I just ended up spamming through brews. Quyneax
Replace the ROW with a useful ring if you are using lootshare or coinshare, that's for one. Secondly I would be very happy if you tried an Armadyl + spectral setup using ranged, rune/chaotic crossbow with rune or diamond bolts. I want some info on K'ril's ranged defence. Thirdly the larger the team, the less damage comes from the tank, the more you should focus on defence, and the more you should use Armadyl + spectral. In short, try Arma + spectral. If you want accuracy you can try an Ardougne cloak perhaps. Octarine
We do ffa and split drops, hence row :) range could actually be a good idea, I'd assume he wont be that strong to it since his general defence is fairly low anyway. Completely forgot about ardy cloak actually too :o Though I probably wouldnt want to give up the extra from the swars cape since prayer is nasty for tanking Blog of DG, Bossing (mostly Glacors) and stuff - Runetrack Play Safe! - Got useful information for the tip.it website? Ezkaton
In short, try Arma + spectral. Been telling him to do that but he wants competitive damage with me the sly man ;) Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D
Octarine
*is competitive* also I'd be well up for giving him a proper try with range, obviously the tank still isnt going to get away with avoiding that melee attack (and also probably shouldnt use rubies either)However, it might work decently in a team, we'll try trio range soon im sure :D Blog of DG, Bossing (mostly Glacors) and stuff - Runetrack Play Safe! - Got useful information for the tip.it website? Octarine
^had basically the same defence bonuses on my run through with melee defence and praying mage, and I was using upto 16 brew doses some killsDont think even the divine effect is going to help bring melee method close to the mage one, he's incredibly accurate with melee Also obv I use slay helm whenever I happen to be on task too Blog of DG, Bossing (mostly Glacors) and stuff - Runetrack Play Safe! - Got useful information for the tip.it website?
