April 2, 201115 yr So I'm working on a few quests trying to get curses, but these two skills must be raised to said levels, and so I am looking for the fastest methods to do so. Apparantly blackjacking is the way to go with thieving, but I can never seem to get it down. Are there any other options that are comparable in xp/h or do I just need to watch a guide or two and get blackjacking down pat? And I have no idea how to go about smithing, any advice there will help. Thanks in advance!
April 2, 201115 yr Smithing, your best bet is iron platebodies. -6.5gp/exp and ~250k exp = 1.6MOr, you could just smelt gold ore, not sure what that exp/gp ratio is but you can check Grimy's spreadsheets. Theiving, I would say either blackjacking if you can double loot every knock out. Or if you're like me and can't get the hang of that you could either do PP which isn't great at that level. You can always theive master farmers for seeds + exp.
April 2, 201115 yr For smithing I would recommend superheating gold ore (unless you are 99 magic I guess). It's fast, probably 2-3 hours for all the xp you need and it will give you a good chunk of magic xp as well. It costs about as much as the iron platebodies, maybe less. For thieving you can do pyramid plunder which isn't the fastest way, but it's relaxed. Blackjacking is the best.
