April 14, 201115 yr I dont have a link to a vid or guide for it but i do know from what i understand if you can line your hits up so that your hitting at the same time as graar when using soul split it allows you to heal fairly easily although dont quote me on this as i've never tried it i've only seen it done.

April 14, 201115 yr The maul has the same attack speed as Graar, meaning if you time your attacks correctly you can soul split flash without any chance of being hit by a 400. Posted by Obtaurian in another post here on H&A just recently.
April 14, 201115 yr I'd assume it would go like this... Time your attacks so that you attack in between Graar attacks, eg you Graar you Graar you Graar When Graar attacks, protect melee, but quickly switch to SS for your attack, back to melee. This way you protect from his attacks, while SSing your own.
April 14, 201115 yr You can do it with any weapon, you just need to skip a round every 2-4 (depends on speed of weapon) attacks so that you don't get meleed. I'm not convinced this is a legitimate argument in favour of the maul.
April 14, 201115 yr Ease of use/reliabilty is a concern for all but the most rythmic bosshunters. What you do is keep protect melee on. Right before your hit animation starts you click ss, then prot melee right after. You will have soul split up for 1 tick and that 1 tick is on your hit, so you will heal. Of course the one tick you have ss up should NOT be the tick Graardor hits on. But I think that is obvious.
