House Plan Advice

Mangotastic

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm new to the community and I've recently really started to enjoy construction... and in doing so realised how much it would cost to rebuild my house if I change my mind later.

So, I've come here to ask for a review of my house plans. It's a blend of roleplay and pacticallity.

If you can see any problems with it, or can suggest improvemnts I'd be very thankful... would rather have criticism now than a large bill in a month or two!

Ground Floor: Portal in Centre, 2 Portal rooms close (I can live w/o Lumbridge). Chapel for prayer. 2nd Garden will be the Menagerie (not in this calculator yet). Workshop is out the way because I don't plan to make flatpacks.

First Floor: Games/Combat for fun, Parlour just to space rooms and second Study for show (don't care about enchant tabs).

Dungeon: Not much to say other than I hope it's challenging.

Thanks,

Mangolots

I posted a thread on this not too long ago, here is the link, you might find something interesting in there.

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

My reply on that thread would be what I'd post on this thread. I recommend that you keep the portal rooms, altar/chapel, obelisk/menagerie, entrance garden and mounted glory/quest hall as close to eachother as possible.

No point in a lumby portal now that HT is free and no time restraint so thumbs up on that. The only things that matter for house set ups imo is all the teleports and your chapel within one room of your entrance, which it looks like you've done. Also I have OCD so symmety is my best friend.

Edit

Ninja'd by Q for what feels like the millionth time...

Unless you are ever on ancients or lunar in which case a lumby portal never hurt anyone.
