Everyone in game tells me 1 tree. I've started the quests with both winter and summer. I've killed severeal hawthorn trees for winter, I then talk to winter an she sugest I help killl a hawtorn tree. I just did, she dels not give me crown for doing what she asked. Same problem with summer. What do I need to do to get the crowns?

You have to agree to help her before killing an Evil hawthorne tree.

 

As far as your original question, you only need to kill 1 of each tree.

Get the false year from one tree (kill by cutting and lighting fires from kindling cut from roots, then search stump), hand it over, then get the 3 keys (start northeast, go clockwise looking for steps), then get the real year and hand it over, when finished, you get the crown as a reward.

 

Killing more trees will add to the charges, which transport members to evil trees - no advantage charging in F2P.

Also note you do not get the crowns right away.

 

first tree u down u get "the year" this trigger quest like sequence of fidning the real year; upon completing THAT you get the crown and can then kill a tree for the other side to get the other crown.

I was able to get the Icicle crown without getting the "fake" Year or triggering any cutscenes.

Doh yeah forgot tht bit.

 

Icicle crown is the members only bonus you can get it at the start or at the end.

But for the spring crown you gotta dop the questy bit.

Actually you don't necessarily have to kill an entire tree. I just attacked one, then noticed one that had fallen before, searched it, and got the fake year item from it. So for the Spring part at least, you don't have to.

Got a new problem now. I sed to water key on the bubbles. Went up walked a bit enter a cave and was ouside by the river. I seem to stuck now the bubles are not there and the water spirit wont give me the key again.

 

Any idears on how I get to the next cave again??

It should remain setup even if you wander off.

 

Rock key opens the cave.

Water key drains the pool allowing you to climb down and enter next cave.

Cloud key creates "cloud staircase" that you can click to climb up.

If you go in through where the rocks were again you should be able to repeat the steps to where you used the other keys, until the part where you use the third. Click at the spots where you used the keys on before.
