Quick weapon question

Hey guys, my 20 def pure has 75 atk and 84 str. Right now I'm training on monkey guards on ape atoll near the altar. So far I've been using an sara sword, I also have an sgs though, and when I use it, it seems like it hits better and more often. My question is would the godsword be better on higher def monsters like this because of it's accuracy, or should I stick with the fast hitting ss.

On a side note: Any other suggestions for training a 20 def pure?

Sara sword. It's true that the higher accuracy helps hit more often on the monkey guards, because of their high defense. But that doesn't justify the almost twice as slow speed. I can train there effectively with a SS and 70 attack. I'm sure you can easily with 75.

Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.

My only other advice would be 80 Attack & a Chaotic (Preferably a rapier, to take advantage of the mithril defender/access to Ardy Cape 2).

I found a panda and then we bought malt liquor. I hold my malt liquor better than a panda.

And I thought my weekends were good. ._.

Ok thanks, just wondering, is there ever a point in this game where accuracy overrules speed? lol.

When the attack bonus difference is large, I think - fx, Chaotic Maul at Waterfiends.

Yes. On monsters with very high defence, a Godsword would be better.

Note that monsters with defense high enough to justify this switch do not exist in runescape bar nex.

SS with att boosting prayers shouldn't have trouble hitting at all there with 75 attack. The best thing to do with your SGS? Sell it and buy claws/herb levels/prayer levels.

Yes, a Godsword DOES hit higher and more often.

But what do you expect when it has higher strength and attack bonuses? However, the point made is that it is far slower, and as a result in the long run, the SS does more damage since it'll get more rounds of combat per hour. That's the simple way of explaining it.

Also, may I recommend you relocate your training spot to the Skeleton Monkeys underground or the Zombie Monkeys in the temple, if you have a Salve Amulet? They are both far faster in terms of xp. The only drawback is that you must pay for ppots, but since ppots are so cheap nowadays there's hardly any reason not to.
