Hey People,

I recently got the KQ special task from Sumona, and I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips on how to kill her solo (i.e what armour/weapons/food/pots etc) ??

My stats;

99 hp,

99 atk,

99 str,

99 def,

89 mage,

89 range,

76 prayer.

Many thanks,

What's your herb level? that could be dependent on what invo you need but for a setup.

Verac Helm

Fury

Verac Brassard

Verac Skirt

Verac Flail

Soul Wars Cape / Ardy Cloak 2+ / Fire Cape / Skillcape(t) / Other

Dragon Boots

Barrows Gloves

Zerker Ring / Ring of Life (if your not confident in your ability to kill her but i highly suggest zerker)

or

Slayer Helm

Fury

Bandos Plate

Bandos Tassies

Dragon Boots

Barrows Gloves

Soul Wars Cape / Ardy Cloak 2+ / Fire Cape / Skillcape(t) / Other

Chaotic (Maul or Rapier perferably) / Whip / GS (last resort only i suppose)

Dragon Defender (if using Rapier / Whip)

Zerker Ring / Ring of Life (same as above)

Pray Mage & Piety on both setups as they will both provide plenty of range defence but her mage attack will decimate you without mage pray.

Her hits are 100% accuracy unless prayed against.

For me, it took me a while but I found that if you go with a handful of people (2, even 3 is good)

Grab a range weapon - and verac's to tank the other monsters in the room.

Focus mainly on pray switching and range her to death

That or bring some rocktails if you're melee-ing and just in case.

^The amount of people you need to bring really depends on your ability to switch prayers honestly.

I do not think prayer switching is any use on kq.

Also, her range attack might be 100% accurate (any confirmation on this?) but melee is definitely not, so might as well tank up the melee defence (which generally means high range defence too) and mage pray.

I find veracs to be pretty useless overall there. Use a chaotic melee weapon on both forms.

If you don't have a chaotic, then I would probably whip it all the way, particularly if you have overloads/extremes.

Tip: She is one of the best monsters to run under while you eat. If you're good you can even use this to go 1-for-1 with her for hits no matter how much you eat.

What?

her magic and range are both 100% accurate

He never said they were not?

I'd suggest the bandos/maul setup above or you can use a void setup, switching to ranged (deflector) for the second form. Basically, use your regular max offence gear with void, claws, chaotic melee weapon (defender), acp + deflector + crossbow switches and rune or diamond bolts. Not sure how much ranged defence the second form has, but I had pretty low accuracy with a maul at 90 attack (that is with turm + ovl).

From (a lot of) personal experience, I find that ranging the second form is a lot faster. Yes, melee does work, but similarly to what Enaid said, even with a maul, 99 attack, turm, ovld, slayer task, you dont hit all that often. Whereas CCBow, rigour, ovld slayer task hits a lot more than it misses.

So if on task id take armour switches (start with bandos/barrows on and preferably a rapier and d defender, switch to dhide/arma for second form [handcannon is likely to be best here, but my firemaking is low and she has decent defense so I use CCBow])
