Zamorak GWD boss

Hi there i recently got a greater demons task for slayer and heard that the Zammy GWD boss is affected by the slayer helm. I've looked at the guide but it seems pretty outdated. I've tried to kill myself but only seem to get 3-4 kills a trip which seems low for my level compared to others. I just need some help getting a great set-up for soloing it better.

 

My current stats

Attack = 99

Strength = 99

Defence = 99

Prayer = 99

Ranged = 96

Magic = 99

Summoning = 94

HP = 99

Herb = 85

This is my current set-up for soloing which I want to improve if possible (all potions are (4))

1 super set

1 super antiposion

Elite Falador Shield (to recharge prayer from crossing river, two trips) or prayer potion after charges are used

2 prayer potions

Dragon Defender

Rocktails X16

I use the Chaotic Longsword and Dragon Defender when I enter the boss room, DDP++ and book are for KC

Well there are a few obvious problems, the first one being the lack of overloads, the second being the small amount of prayer you bring, the third the lack of good defensive items.

 

Try to upgrade your gear to Karil's + dragonfire shield + fury. Lose the dds.

Also use zam arrow instead of sara arrow and bring d defender instead of unholy book for KC and for switching out to on minions

First things first there's no point wasting the arrow slot for a Sara arrow. You're in combat with Sara followers for all of 5 seconds. If they're that big a worry then put on protect mage until you run to the Zam bridge.

I would highly advise you to get a rapier due to better DPS. Though saying that if using the CLS make sure to have it on stab.

 

 

I would definitely tell you to get those last 2 summoning levels and 3 herb levels (and learn to stew) as a Yak and extremes would make your stays much longer.

 

 

Now for invent:

 

1 extreme/super set.

1 Antipoison p++

4 prayer potions (at 95 I use 2 doses to get my prayer back to a good amount and kill imps for KC. This means no used up prayer for KC.... Also why 2 trips across the water? You only need to do one)

Spare Tort pouch

1 Unicorn Stallion Pouch

100-200 Healing Aura Scrolls

House Tele (If you try and hero kill k'ril and get poisoned, tele then die you will respawn in your house safely. Also allows you to recharge summon and prayer quickly and then glory to edge for banking etc)

EE/EEE/Claws - Here it can be debated about extra damage and extra healing. But my friend who normally tanks Zammy takes EEE as it's useful for healing whilst I use claws.

War tort:

1 Prayer pot

Rest Rocktails

 

 

When tort is empty summon the Unicorn. Unicorn is fantastic due to added healing and it can cure poison.

 

 

So to summarise:

Get a few bits of better gear here and there. Don't bother with DDS. Not really needed and K'ril can't be poisoned, instead go for EE/EEE/Claws for better healing/damage. Get 3 herblore levels and get a lot of brown spice for stews and get extremes, get 2 more summoning levels and use a Unicorn Stallion when Tort is out.
