Missing Monster

The Carnivorous Chinchompa (hunted for the Ranged ammo Red Chinchompa) is missing from the Bestiary.

 

10 hp, deals 20 dmg upon death.

 

Examine: It looks fluffy and cute; it's probably deadly.

 

As far as I know, they never drop anything.

Before being caught, it IS a monster. Its combat level is 2. It is a Carnivorous Chinchompa, but when caught, it's name becomes Red Chinchompa.

 

Most things hunted are not actual monsters, you are right. However, the Carnivorous Chinchompa is indeed a monster.

 

Being new to the forums, I'm not sure how to include a screenshot... Else I would do so. I'm hunting them right now. Lol.

Many hunter creatures do have a combat level, but we have not added any of them to the Bestiary.

Assuming you know how to make screenshots, you can upload them to a host site like Imageshack and either copy the URL into a post, or find the Direct link to the image (Right-click -> Copy image location) and put that between tags (this will show the image in your post).

Simply because you cannot kill them the normal way (chimps explode and you need to trap the other animals). They are no combat monsters.

 

Also I don't see any reason to add them to the database as they don't add anything valuable because you are better of reading the hunter guide.

You can actually kill Carnivorous Chinchompas though. They just deal 20 damage upon death. They have 10 hp and can be killed via normal combat.

I've talked this over with other members of the Crew and we have decided that every creature with a combat level and that is entirely AI-controlled earns a place in the Bestiary.

 

In other words, hunter monsters like Chinchompas will be added.

 

I will probably start with this on friday, so since you expressed you'd like to help out with screenshots, Johndevl, (or if anyone else would like to help), images and examine info, LP and whatnot would be appreciated. :)

Sounds great. I have provided the information on Carnivorous Chinchompas. I can provide a screenshot if necessary. I don't know which other monsters are missing, though. Just a reminder:

Sounds great. I have provided the information on Carnivorous Chinchompas. I can provide a screenshot if necessary. I don't know which other monsters are missing, though.

 

From the top of my head: both chinchompas and these three. I'll look into it later to see if there are more, but if you could fix some images (preferably .png) I can crop them and add them to the pages I'll make.

 

I won't have time to work on it for some time, but I'll add it to my to-do list.
