Desert Treasure

I'm in the middle of Desert Treasure right now. I know my stats aren't exactly high, but that's not what I care about - don't tell me how to play. All I need is to know a few things.

1. How do I get to "Trollhiem" if I haven't done Edgar's Ruse?

2. The guide says I need spiked boots, but not climbing boots, but When I tried to climb over a wall, without climbing boots, I couldn't do it. I couldn't wear the spiked boots yet either.

3. What's the best armor set-up for a melee fighter, who isn't exactly rich?

As I said before, all the guide say is "Teleport to Trollhiem (If you've done Edgar's Ruse." It doesn't tell me how to get there if I haven't done that quest.

Please don't tell me I "Shouldn't be doing this yet", or that I "Should wait until I have some decent stats." That's not what I'm looking for.

 

Kind of urgent, any help appreciated. Thanks in advance!

1. Games necklace to burthorpe, and walk.

I doubt you have fairy ring access at this point, but if you happen to do have them unlocked, A J R and then walk (climbing boots for this route).

 

2. You will need spiked. Equipt them when on the ice.

 

3. Rune armour, defender > shield, nezzy helm glory (welfare).

 

If you have more money, barrows or the likes would be better.

 

Edit:

Scratch that, you don't have 70 defence.

 

Also, since you believe the guide is too vague in this, I shall make some changes to it in the morning, and add you to the credits.

Use the RuneWiki guide. I always used to use Tip It, but I realize now that RW is simply far better. No offense tip it :razz:

If memory serves, A J R was the code for the Relekka slayer cave entrance, West of the mountains.

 

 

Ah, if you meant best for your current stats, you can replace rune legs and defender with their dragon counterparts. Whip would be a decent choice of weapon. Those changes shouldn't be too expensive.

 

Also, if you see anything else you'd like to see changed in one of our guides, when they are unclear, outdated and whatnot, feel free to create a thread in our Website Updates & Corrections forum. ;)

granite plate is slightly better than rune, and doesn't cost much more, and d legs are pretty cheap now too.
