Equenox
So I'm planning on going for a Fire Cape run, so I figured I'd just check that my plan isn't completely stupid. The inventory/equipment setup I'm planning is this: Hopefully I'll be able to find an acp to replace the black d'hide body, although will it be more sensible to use my loan on a bcp? I chose Ardy Cape 3 for some Prayer bonus. My plan is basically to melee up to Jad, and then Range him, but I have two questions:1) Is this actually sensible? I figure melee will be faster, and I should be fine before Jad if I'm kiting the 360's. If so, which bolts should I get for Jad? I'm thinking ~100 Diamond (e), but I thought I might as well ask.2) What is the best thing to do with healers? Do I just lure them away from Jad and then continue using the Long Range attack style? Thanks very much! Equenox's Blog of Things!
rangers5000
Not too sure on the rune pl8 as its bad def and no pray bonus. U should try and borrow a bcp or use verac bassard. Also u mite want to use dfs for some def bonus. 1) 100 dia bolts should be enough for jad with ava. However i find sometimes after being hit by the 360s i would use ranged till my spec recovers for ee or use ss on others. 2) That method seems fine also u should try and replace ardy cape for soul wars cape as it has better prayer bonus. Nifflin
Sell Veracs helm for Guthan body. Use a niet helm instead. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying. Thanks very much!Replace your headgear with Helm of Neitiznot and your Plate with a Proselyte Hauberk. Yes, melee is almost twice as cost as changed. For healers, either kill them all twice or run through Jad. Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous. Frede173
^They changed the healers a couple of weeks ago. If you can kill them all before they heal Jad to full health, they won't spawn a second time. Regarding OP's equipment:Replace the rune platebody with a Verac's brassard or BCP (You can borrow mine if I'm not already lending an item  ) -If you use 2-300 broad bolts (They're pretty much enchanted diamond bolts, just without the special effect) you don't have to worry about picking them up and you can replace Ava's device with a potion of your choice. Keep in mind you also can equip bolts when meleeing, so there's no need to save an inventory slot for that unless you bring multiple types. -You don't need a 1:1 ratio on brews/super restores. Consider replacing one or two of the super restores with brews as you already have prayer potions to restore your prayer points. ;) Good luck! Owner of a comp cape since February 11th 2012. JPMC Mate
Hmm, that will make it tougher for me to get Fire Cape since I found trapping them behind Jad faster. Oh well.OT: Since my previous method isn't viable anymore, there is a guide in the guides section of tip it forums that tells you how make it so when healers spawn, they automatically get stuck behind Jad. All you have to do is lure then according to the guide and then attack them one by one until they are focused on you. However, they will continue to be stuck behind Jad. Really? Equenox
So I'm gonna borrow a BCP off someone to replace my rune and switch out my Verac's helm with my Neitz. Should I take Broad bolts to kill the Healers, or will my 100 Diamonds be ok to take all 4 + Jad? @Fire: I thought the Healers did their healing now so long as they're near Jad, regardless of whether they're focused on you or not? Frede173
Not too sure about this, but I believe they continue healing Jad as long as they are less than 3-4 'squares' away from him. Owner of a comp cape since February 11th 2012.
JPMC Mate
Your 100 Diamond e bolts will be enough. Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. RussetAlpha
You might want to use a bit more range when it comes to trapping the 360s and 180s. For the healers, long range them one time so they attack you. Take your time though, and focus on Jad and his attacks. Get a Helm of Neitz for sure.
