A Variable grabbag of questions!

Before we begin, heres what i have available to me.

Im maxed melee, 97 magic,95 range, 96 sum,92 herb (can stew to some ovls) have full bandos/fury, elite void with deflector, Chaotic Longsword, Crossbow, and Maul, with NO PLANS for getting rapier. (dont ask.) Ive got all hard tasks done with elite seers and nearly all quests.

 

Question one: Am I ready for nex with current gear? I cant afford arma atm so would void work? also, is ancient ceremonial gear necessary, and if so, is it reasonable to get it from drops?

Question two: Ive never been that great at TD's, but considering i have a plethora of new gear im willing to give it another shot. my question is whats the best setup for me now? should i use void deflector with cls/crossbow and barrows gloves, or is it better to use bandos/hidebody instead? (Sounds like too much switching, and im not a great switcher...) or is maul and something like a handcannon better? also, yak, iron titan, or uni?

Question three: If i go below 1250 conquest rank, can i buy a replacement deflector, or do i have to maintain my 1250? id like to suicide for a friend if possible.

Question four: How many runes will i need to complete livid farm? how much i xp will i gain starting from (nearly) 0? How much would i save by not getting veng group?

For TD's I'd recommend to just stick with Karil's, maul and handcannon with pony while you get used to them. Won't be all that effective going there with void without knowing what to do. :P Once you get more comfortable with them, you could try bringing bandos switch, then finally move to void.

 

But I could be way off.

I'm personally planning on buying multiple deflectors (2+) when I get the rank next time because I did the same as you were planning got a deflector bought it then suicided for a friend - I'm now stuck at 745 rank after losing my deflector and feeling unwilling to get the rank all over again.

With TD's I'm not sure if a handcannon is better than a CCB for DPS but it is not worth using at all below 95 firemaking. In regards to Nex I imagine you could blag your way on to some RSOF teams but don't expect to be taught Nex well by them. There is also a clan called something like 'Nex Specialists' which have much lower gear and stat requirements than most specialist Nex teams needing so I'm sure you can get on to one of their teams.

1. RSOF Nex teams in general require the best gear, which is usually elite void with deflector and Armadyl chest. Ancient ceremonial is also a must, you could get it from drops but that would take a number of hours and it would be better to kill something else for the cash for it in that it would take to get the pieces as drops.

2. Liek got that pretty good, I usually wear Karil's top with tassests, though d hide and verac's skirt work. I've never used void for tds, but that's more due to the fact that I use a steel titan and it's not worth it to spend the extra time switching when using one.

Void wise I'd go with maul/handcannon.

 

Nex wise you need 99 ranged and 99 magic really. Also Kandy doesn't have the best gear right, which is full pernix + divine + ccbow with ruby bolts (and comp cape) which is not required at all.
