ItzDeffiliate
So, just started playing again on my maxed combat member. I was wondering what are the best options for money making via combat now? I used to farm Tzhaar monsters, but they seem a bit over-run by bots now =/ Also not frost dragons, CBF to get dungeoneering up for now. All help is appreciated=]
Kthx
K. You've got 4 options: A. Have loads of money to begin with and stake (also requires decent stats) or merchant. B. Have loads of money and decent gear and maxed stats to begin with and nex. C. Try your hand at frosts dragons or something similar, only to realize how frustrating said activities are because of the inflated amount of bots and cannons, and requit out of angerment. D. Yeah, I guess farming and miscellenia are decent money for the time they take. But they're still only small boosts and it'll take ages to amass a worthwhile amount of money. Choose, my lord. Thanks for the reply man, i've already been doing some farming runs while killing TzHaars but I was looking for something along the lines of Dagannoth kings maybe? Are they still good cash? Nomrombom
DKs, TDs, Frosts, Green Dragons, Grenwalls, Arma GWD, Nex, Steaking, dicing, pking, merching. PM me for fitocracy invite
n64jive
Hate people who recommend staking as a good source of money making. It's a coin-flip on a maxed account. With standard deviation, you can end up ahead, however you can also end up behind. Dicing is worse then a coin flip. Therefore it is a terrible form of making money. I feel like flipping can be good money, but I find it tedious. Frosts are frustrating, but it's still roughly 1m/hr. Other methods that people have mentioned are good as well. As always, bosses are good in the long run, however requires some luck.
Quyneax
Hosting dice games is actually profitable, just like running a casino. It's just that you are not allowed to trust trade while doing it. Kthx is correct, approximately. If you can do DKS well, that's the best money short of Nex right now, though tds offer effigies and charms. Nomrombom
Since when is dicing against the rules? There are plenty of highly reputable dice hosts who always back up their promises. Isn't the point of a trust trade that you know the consequences/risks and still do it, making it your responsibility/fault? Quyneax
Dicing is not against the rules, trust trading is, as I posted before. Most dice hosts do rely on trust trades, and even if they are always honest it's still not allowed. ItzDeffiliate
All this dice talk has given me an amazing idea. I was just looking at another topic talking about the price of whips dropping due to the fact that they never leave the game, but what if JAgex made their own official casino, and instead of betting coins they have a list of items you can exhange for betting tokens. They could load the list with items which are increasing in volume. Also, the exchange rate could be made greater for items that are worse off than others. Example:Whip : GE Price: 1m <- Extremely high volume - Worth 1.2m betting tokensRune Longsword (Just example): Ge Price 10k <- Moderately high volume - Worth 10k betting tokens. Please respond with what you think of this idea.
