AznPrincess Posted July 22, 2011 Share Posted July 22, 2011 I was just wondering what the most cost-efficient way to use my smelted bars. Smith into plates? Cannonballs? Arrowheads or some other item? I'm only 87 smithing at the moment so should I save my rune bars until I'm higher? What about steel, mithril, and adamantite? Ermy Posted July 22, 2011 Share Posted July 22, 2011 You don't want to use rune bars to train at all, if you get 88 smithing. Addy plates are the quickest/cheap xp. When i did a rough comparison of buying the addy bars and making into plates, then selling those plates back, the total cost was roughly 67m. Doing the same rough calculations using coal and adamantite ore the total cost was roughly 63m. It all depends on your play style, I don't like having to bank every 2-3 mins or w/e it is so the swords work for me.
