I was able to resolve my problem. Close please

By the sounds of things you user has been reverted to a limited user account.. The default gateway should be there in most cases and should be something along the lines of 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 depending on your router.

Just to be sure, you arn't logging onto a domain? This is just a regular home network right?

What happened after you restarted the machine?

Can you provide me with more information:

- Are you on a domain

- Are you using an Administrator account?

- Has this resolved itself with a restart?

Yes this is a regular home network (wireless)

Yes it's an admin account

I've restarted it several times, but this hasn't resolved anything.

ty for helping anyway

Next time you solve your problem DONT delete the original post and instead add the answer. that way if someone has a similar problem they can search the boards and find the answer.

Yes next time please don't edit out the initial problem.
