On a whim, I decided to make a Harpy Christmas Card. The theme? Vlad The Impaler-style death to the damned penguins.

 

 

Perhaps we should celebrate the festivities with some audacious story telling that involves raping the canon and style of Christmas figures with a hijacking by the Harpies. Rudolph would definitely be glad to feel left out with our interpretation of "Reindeer Games" involving an overdose of comedic sociopathy.

Removed. The Watchog avatar was really beginning to creep me out and the Snake one wasn't really fitting for me. Maybe I'll stay blank for a little while until I find a good image to use.

Player Owned Ports update in Runescape. It is kind of like MTK in the fashion that it is a passive activity.

Finals begin 12th-16th, PoP today, members expires the 16th, go home on 16th and home/dogsit 90 minutes from my house for two weeks (delicious moneys)

Here is something to celebrate Harpy Christmas:

 

All was fine and dandy at the North Pole

until the arrival of the Harpies, each one lacking a soul.

Squab torched the factories, Gwyn was being vain,

and Lokie himself was putting Santa Claus in pain.

Zaaps led the charge with Alg having strategies to lend

whilst Vezon was brutally harvesting Reindeers for coats to mend.

From the North wall to the South, the elves were in a panic

especially given that Santa's killer, Lokie, was feeling highly manic.

LTK discovered their treasure stash before Mrs. Claus's Yacht sank,

exponentially boosting the size of his weak 23K bank.

 

All was well at the North Pole, with harpies boasting in victory

whilst Nexaduro shrugged and muttered "This is complete dickery".

Alg responded with a coat made by Vezon, suggesting that him and Nexaduro revel in the night Christmas ended.

Nexaduro, losing the last shreds of sanity, had a different thing in mind

by letting out a very loud statement, "Alg, are you blind?"

He pointed to the factory wreckage in a rage and then to the snow,

proceeding to put a silencing end to the show.

With one swift motion, Nexaduro pulled out a gun

and proceeded to a grinding halt shut down the Harpies' fun.

 

First Lokie, then Dash, and Cow third that fell,

but Nexaduro was still under Anger's spell.

He in a rage pointed out how the feathered fiends are sinfully equal,

and Zaaps chose to respond by creating a snow Wild West sequel.

The harpy pulled out his talons while Nexaduro reloaded with ammo

while Alg suggested that everybody should cease reenacting Rambo.

By the end of the night, two more have fallen,

Nexaduro and Zaaps both joining the frozen corpses than needed a haulin'.

Lokie in the afterlife finished this poem by saying,

"Oh my, it's amazing I came up with this on the top of my head".

 

Subverted rhyme. And yes, I typed on impulse. Thoughts?

Hmm, ok let's see:

 

1. Migraines. I get them fairly often, and I've yet to find out what exactly triggers them. They can get pretty bad at times. I've had one that lasted for ~3 days until I went to the ER and got fluids and what not to help with it. And also in those three days the migraine made my face numb! Like, my cheeks felt like when you get freezing from the dentist. It was a weird feeling.

 

2. Rare disease. I have a rare disease that less than 4% of the population has. There hasn't been a lot of research done on it, and it is currently incurable. My doctor has ran out of options for what to suggest for me to try, and just yesterday I saw my endocrinologist and she told me she's basically out of things to try as well. Some of the effects of the disease are extremely painful :(

 

3. Diverticulitis. Another disease :P This one much more common than the other. I got it last year for the first time, and now that I've had it, I think it means I'm more susceptible to getting it again in the future. It involves the diverticula in your intestine opening up and thngs become caught in them and they get infected. It was one of the most excruciating pains I've ever had! My entire colon and most of my intestines were infected and inflamed. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and at home bed-ridden for almost another 2 weeks after that. Every doctor/nurse I talked to said I was the youngest person they've ever seen with it. I asked the doctor what would be the main reason for getting it, and he said in my case it was basically bad luck <_<

 

4. Lack of morphine receptors. I found this out while in the hospital for the diverticulitis. They gave me a bunch of morphine and something else that was supposedly twice as strong as morphine, and none of it affected me :( So I just got to enjoy the pain of the diverticulitis.

 

5. Carpal Tunnel. I have mild carpal tunnel in my right hand/wrist. After a couple months off work doing physical therapy for it, it doesn't bother me all that much any more. If I'm not paying attention to how I'm holding the welding gun or other equipment while I'm working it can start to tingle/hurt, but for the most part it seems to be fairly under control.

 

6. Previous Injuries. Though I've torn the ligaments in both my ankles, and broken my left wrist. I'm not sure if these would count as medical conditions, but if I jar them hard or hit them just the right way they can be pretty painful. The wrist I broke when I fell off 2 hay bales stacked together. As for the ankles, one was while playing softball and the other was when the guys and I took the trucks off our skateboards and used them to go down hills of snow.
