my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Think of the champion scrolls requirement. Except it's one monster. With a drop rate of like 1/512. And with insane defence so you can't rely on your attacks always hitting. Coupled with both of the Thunderous' special attacks. And a buttload of HP to boot.

Can actually get sub 30 second kills, but still.

HI GWYN@@@@@

That sounds like a [bleep]. None of you happened to play Puzzles and Dragons do you? I thought the RNG in Runescape was a troll, but THIS game. Let me tell you about this game. The RNGJesus in the sky smites your very soul for every minute you play this game.

And the worst part is the game is actually a majority skill-dependent. So you can't even be like, "cus I'm really unlucky I can't beat dungeons in this game". No that's usually because you suck at the puzzles. But goddamn the team-building RNG is a killer.

(although Thundurous was actually my favorite boss in the game)

Got the last title so I won't need to go to that shithole dungeon anymore.

The RNG for 2048 was already bad enough for me, every time I had to move down or right the next tile would spawn in the worst possible position and basically end my game lol.

Doesn't your skill level slightly save you from the RNG's malevolence? Since you mentioned the puzzles are mostly skill-based. But I guess that if the RNG gives you a shit hand, there's a limit to how far your skill will take you lol.

We do not speak of 2048.

And eh, it kinda does. For the early/mid game you can just take any random team and if you're good at manipulating the board you will be fine. But after a while, you need to literally be a god at the game to run such an underwealming team and make any sort of progress at all. You will need RNG to bless you and give you stronger monsters.

And the best monsters are all from a machine that functions essentially as a slot machine. You pull it, and 10% of the time you get a God (some of the best monsters in the game but even some of those are shit) or something worthless. And not every God will be useful for the teams you are trying to build. Oh yeah and rolling once costs about $5 unless you want to save up magic stones (used for rolls) that are handed out for free, even then you'd only get a roll every 2 weeks or so.

Yeah I love the game. Really great gameplay and very fun, but damn if progressing past the endgame isn't annoying as hell. It's ok for me, since I've already managed to roll a highly skill-dependent team that will let me clear virtually any content as long as I have the skill to back it up, but there's a reason why this company posts a $2b revenue last year, or something like that, which over 90% of it coming from this game.

EDIT: A few of my RL friends play, and I was talking to one of them. Every 2 weeks or so, they have what are called "Godfests", where a certain set of gods have a 3x chance of getting rolled on the machine. In an episode of drunken hopefulness, he spent something like $150 on rolls hoping to get Horus, one of the best Gods at the time. He didn't get it.

And people spend like thousands on this game to keep completely up to date with each new patch of Gods released.

EDIT2: Although I should be fair, you can get very far, perhaps even complete the game entirely (at least with the current content, they release more all the time) without rolling the Rare Egg Machine a single time, since the farmable monsters technically can allow you to do so. But the REM isn't even the only part of the RNG frustration in this game, so those players will probably still vent either way.

And maybe I'm overly critical of this game. For a mobile, technically free game, it provides a ton of fun and entertainment value. Just don't fall into the trap of spending money on this, because it's literally worse than gambling.

I was about to say that the game was clearly not balanced properly, but it is now clear to me that fine game balance also covers other nuances beyond the scope of mere gameplay ($$$).

I assume you haven't spent any money buying rolls lol, 2 weeks is a pretty insane wait though.

Oh I edited my post, forgot to mention some stuff.

I mean it's technically not pay2win, because you can roll the REM using free stones entirely, but good luck getting fully functional teams like that. You'll probably have to get lucky any roll a few key components then use farmable monsters to fill the rest of the slots.

Unfortunately, I have spent money on this game LOL. Not worth it, that monster isn't even any good anymore.

But dat art

(Yes this game contains approximately 80% waifu. I assume that's part of the reason it sells so well.)

Sometimes I picture Gywn as a female because of his avatar, and then I remember that he is just some scrawny looking Asian guy.

“I had a feeling we weren’t coming back from this fight when it began.”

“Do you have any regrets?”

“I don’t. It seems surprising, I know, but I wouldn’t change a thing. This is how it was meant to be.”

“Huh, you never really notice how lovely the day is until you realize you’ll never see it again.”

“Mmmhmm.”

Loom is so slow compared to most of the big names in the meta right now, but somehow it is still really good.

Just how many are there to go through O_o

Something like 1500 or so by now, although many evolve into others so the number of unique lines is more around 300-500.

Sort of anti-metagame? It's always had pretty much just the right combination of features to succeed even when it shouldn't be able to.

I'm surprised it's big now, though. Wouldn't Talonflame or Pinsir-M eat it alive?

Yeah, to be fair, a lot of stuff chews through breloom. I've just seen it used more now than in 5th gen for some reason. Basically, you just rock tomb when something tries to switch in, and you outspeed on the next turn. But really, breloom was broken in 4th gen before the speed creep.

There was this one time that my friend and I were at this social event where there were a bunch of kids and video games. Someone brought PBR and everyone was battling each other on PBR via their HG/SS and D/P/PT games. Oh course, you know these kids were all using event pokes and all the legendaries they could scrape together. I got called out since someone said I was pretty good at Pokemon. I accidentally selected only 2 pokes instead of 6, a breloom and a metagross. Needless to say, I made some little kids rage, sweeping their teams of Groudons, darkrais, and mews with that stupid substitute toxic heal breloom with spore, substitute, seed bomb, and focus punch.

I know I shouldn't take pride in slaughtering thee twelve year olds in Pokemon, but man.... It was great.
