The speed of the rapier overcomes the bonuses of the longsword in 99% of situations. The only places i believe the longsword is better then the rapier is solo/tanking bandos and perhaps skele wyverns? But i think maul is better there anyway. Hexiled Razz. Powerfrog Posted August 7, 2011 Share Posted August 7, 2011 Rapier by a longshot. Dragons are weak to stab and everyone knows that rapier > longsword even on creatures weak to slash. The ONLY thing i'd use a longsword on instead of a rapier is bandos boss, but even there it's pretty close. (On TD's i'd use maul instead of either.)
