Runescape needs a Messaing system

Featured Replies

Rant;

In Runescape there is no message/letter system. You can not send a letter/message to a friend. If you go to "Account management" there is a option "Read messages from Jagex!". Clicking on that will show your "Inbox", a tool for Jagex to advertise crap to you. I went to my "Inbox" because i had 4 new messages...guess what? All four were from Jagex about crap community events. Isn't the main site enough?

And there is a section in Inbox that says "Sent Messages". Funny huh, you can't send messages. You can only receive them, and most of time it's Jagex informing you about membership or their advertisement junk messages.

Actually, I am kind of sad that the communication we get from the Message Centre is so one-way.

They should just call it a letter box :P

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

In certain situations you can reply back. eg. PMod invitations

I agree, i like it to be able to message some of my friends who are offline a majority of the time, but do check in once a week or so. I want to be able to send them a message about anything i may have planned.

I like to think of the Dark Bow like a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) - you get one shot and then you're screwed.

Yep adding onto what Killerred005 said, in some situations you can reply to Jagex's messages. For example, when I've won RuneScape competitions in the past I've had to reply back with the RSN I want membership applied to and my home address so they can send me prizes.

Equally, I've got "4 unread" messages, but my Message Centre inbox thing is empty, leading me to believe that they delete themselves after a while or something. Quite a pointless and overly complicated system. Typical Jagex.

But not everyone wins and more importantly it's nice to be able to send messages to Runescape friends.

Typical Jagex.

Typical ranting RS player. :shades:
