My friend loaned me 15M to stake with: After losing 4 fights right away for 500k a fight I told him I thought it might be better to buy mage gear and go to glacors. He was cool with that. So I went and got this: Then I got all set up to go to glacors (recently swapped the farseer helm out for ahrims hood): With this set up I can last for all four overloads, I get about 37-43 kills per hour, usually end up summoning my unicorn about half way through (or whenever I mess up and need a quick heal). I've started leaving the sara brew in the bank because I have never even used it. After 126 kills I got this: Sold the boots for 25.1M. Payed my friend back and my bank looked like this after paying him back: Now I'm up to almost 400 glacor kills I believe. I've gotten 44 armadyl shards (or something close to that) and four effigies. Also got this elite clue from them: And finally, I got 81 runecrafting which got me 2350 skill total: I'm My_Eggs. My brother bought me a 6 pack of mike's hard lemonade which I drank, then I had the brilliant idea to sell my fury and take the 6M to the duel arena.... I think I'll stop while I'm ahead. Did a few glacor trips and didn't get any good drops other than a few effigies. I sold the loot from my glacor kills and had 2.75M to show for it. Took that to the arena and did some rapier staking rather than boxing this time (rapier staking is what I did to turn 24M into 550M a few months ago). I was able to win enough that with selling my SoL and Mage Book I could afford this new setup for glacors (got the Armadyl Battlestaff for 15.7M): Look out glacytes, this new spell is just for you. :twisted: 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Just got done with an hour trip to glacors (only three overloads this trip, just testing out the new spell and what not). It went extremely well. I managed to pull off 41 kills in that hour, which is on the high end of my average. Here's the loot: Took 3 overloads, 3 prayer renewels, and 6 prayer pots. I somehow managed to last an hour on just two prayer potions and the 3 renewels. I also didn't have to summon my unicorn at all. :thumbsup: Edit: Interesting... It seems I got enough armadyl shards that trip to make more armadyl runes than what I used for killing the glayctes. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. I am up to 9 effigies from these guys though. 15 effigies total from miths/glacors: I plan on using all of the lamps on runecrafting, I'll need like 275 lamps total for 99 runecrafting. Not sure how many I'll need exactly though because once I get rc'ing into the 90s I'll be able to use it to open some of the effigies which will get me exp too. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. The glacytes spawn, I kill the sapped one, start to fight the enduring and then... I get the disconneted message. I thought maybe it was just my internet giving me problems, but then I realise that the music on YouTube is still playing. I flip over to TIF and click on a thread and it loads instantly. So I still have internet access, apparently this disconnection isn't my fault. I finally appear at the log in screen after nearly 4 minutes. I type in my info and try to log back in. I get the loading message for about a minute before getting a message saying "Can't connect to system, please try again in a minute". I continue spam clicking to log in and a few minutes later I'm finally able to get in. First thing I see is about 100 people in every world so I'm clearly not the only one having this issue. Now I finally get into the world I was in and my 12 minute grave has about 6 minutes left. I click to run from edgeville to the fairy ring but my character doesn't move. He just stands there and the timer continues to count down. It reached 5 minutes before I finally get the disconnect message again. Another minute or so passes before the message goes away and my character walks a few steps. The timer now says 3:45 and I'm still in edgeville. I get over to the fairy ring, click on it, yet my character just stands on top of it, again not moving, timer still counting down. By the time I was finally able to get into zanaris I had less than 30 seconds left on my grave. I clicked on the fairy ring again to teleport into the glacor cave but the menu didn't pop up. My character just stood there doing nothing while the grave counted down the final few seconds. Then I got the disconnect message again and I gave up trying to log back in because I already saw the timer go away. Thanks to all those disconnections I lost 2.7k armadyl runes, 7k deaths, 7k bloods, my arcane stream, ahrims hood and top, infity boots, and some potions. It may not sound like a lot, but that's pretty much half my bank right there. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. I was trying to tell you what happened while I was logged on but even then I kept dc'ing and my messages kept being deleted before I could finish typing them. Thanks for the offer but I don't want to set you back on your goals in any way. I'll figure out some way to make some cash back. My_Eggs Posted October 20, 2011 Author Share Posted October 20, 2011 So my friend who loaned me 15M before so that I could start doing glacors loaned me some money again after hearing about what happened. He gave me enough that I was able to buy some armadyl runes too and I went on another trip. This time I decided to actually focus and attack the next glacor as soon as possible, and use F keys to switch between the spell tab and prayer tab. It turned out to be my best trip ever. I took 3 overloads and managed to kill 51 glacors without using any familiars. No boot drops but I did get an effigy, 8 armadyl shards, 51 crimsons, and 63 blue charms. Not bad for an hour. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Only time I have to play is after 10 p.m. on weekdays and after midnight on weekends which leads to me staying up all night. Sold all my items and went to the duel arena with 41.7M. Decided to stake it all at once. If I won I'd continue playing, even though staying up all night really isn't good for me. If I lost, I'd be done with RS for good. Lost. Just canceled my subscription. Time to start looking for a job, apply to college, and enjoy some quality time with my girl. I'd like to thank all of my friends for all of the support. I enjoyed the time we spent together on RS and the quality conversations we had.
