Well i finally managed to get Fremmy Boots 4, which means that i no longer need to use a Yak for hybridding. But the question i have involves tribridding instead. Would i still be able to Solo tribrid with just a Uni?

I'm fairly certain that it would still be possible assuming i manage to find a slow spawning world. The SSing on Supreme and Rex should keep my HP up enough and i'll have EEE + Spiritcape for good measure.

But now the question is would i be able to solo Tribrid with a cannon unsing just a Uni? Tribridding already takes up 4 inventory spaces (which is fine because i took a few too many p pots on my previous trip, so i can easily replace them with the runes i'll need) but this is going to mean that i'll have to take out 4 more items to fit the cannon in (which isnt a problem. 20 Minute high intensity trips are fine by me). The only question is whether or not i'll have enough healing. For good measure i'll take 2 brews with me just incase of emergency.

 

EDIT: How does the profit/h for solo maging compare to solo hybrid? I was thinking i might start maging again now and then when i feel like doing something that requires little effort.

im just going to assume that you dont have nex armour, if you do, you should be fine.

 

you'll be overloading, which pretty much negates eee as you use that to heal the initial ovl damage. im guessing that you should be able to get by with unicorn, but expect the brews to be supplementary rather then emergency.

I don't think so.

 

The time it takes Rex to respawn, you can easily kill supreme. So it would make sense that hybrid is more gp/h.

 

But in that case you should be using protection from magic 100% of the time. So might as well use a cannon also. Hybrid is really not worth it, only maybe 2-3 trips to get used to more hectic pace.

I don't think dks are even worth it if you do short trips - too much resupply time. I'd still go with a yak even with fremminik sea boots, and just bank hides and take noted bones. Since you need cannon + cannonballs, staff/arcstream switches and eee for specs, at least 2 spaces for runes (with csb) or 3 without (with 4 being more reasonable for either ice + blood barrage or fire surge), overloads, yak scrolls and some starting prayer, antipoison and brews, you'd barely have enough space to even last a full unicorn which means you'd be banking like 15% of the time.

Ya, I got Fremmy boots 4 but my strategy is still the exact same as it was before them, except now I keep the bones in my inventory, so I have less to bank, which means it's easier for me to bank hides.

 

If you're curious, here's my Multibrid setup, with and without a cannon. Both are still works in progress but it should give you somewhere to start.
