An unexpected drop!

Featured Replies

I was doing a usual run through of slaughtering Chaos Druids in the dungeon near Falador today when I happened upon an unexpected drop: an uncut dragonstone! Has anyone else gotten such from these lowly combat level 13 creatures? I can handle the occasional dwarf weed+kwarm dual drop, but this was sweet.

If I'm posting this in the wrong area, I'm sorry. It's late and I'm really tired. I have a screen shot from just after the drop. Yeah, I recognize that anyone could say it's not real (as in I brought a d-stone with me), though it really happened.

They're a pretty rare drop from the rare drop table, a universal drop table shared between various monsters.

You can check up Tip.It's bestiary, and if that drop isn't reflected in the Chaos Druid entry, you can make a post in the Website Corrections forum.

Also, welcome to TIF :P

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Welcome to the forums :)

It would really help the crew if you posted that screenshot so they can add it to the drop list without needing someone to verify it :)

I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. Thanks!

I got one as well just the other day killing chaos dwarfs and cannoneers, so i've gotten one as well. Not sure if the dragonstone is in the drop loot for cannoneers.

Hope I helped.

Hello Muraat, welcome to TIF and thank you for taking the time to report this. It would seem that somebody already added the drop to the chaos druid's bestiary profile page in the meantime and that you've been credited for this :)

BuryBONE, the chaos dwarf cannoneer already has the uncut dragonstone listed as a drop (the variant that you fight on the battlefield anyway - the second variant we list only appears during a quest and drops nothing of interest). Thanks for mentioning it though!
