riderr_boi26
Hey all. Just got a Jad Task from Kuradal and I wanted to know what the best setup is. Relatively poor, probably be using welfare gear. I'm also thinking ranging would be the best option for me. 3 pretty important questions for me, should I use mercenary's gloves or barrows gloves (have both), fury or god stole (just wondering if the prayer bonus matters all that much), also at 71 prayer should I be using super restores for prayer or prayer potions (i'll still be bringing along some super restores because I will be using brews). Thanks
Quyneax
I presume you have a chaotic rapier. At your stats melee is certainly superior to any other method. You'd use Bandos (or barrows) with rapier, defender, slayer helmet, dragon boots, fury, barrows gloves, soul wars cape. Pray piety and the right protect prayer (don't have to pray on 90s). Use enhanced excalibur for specs, or borrow sgs or claws or something. 3 super attack and strength, 10 pray pots, 2 super restores, 4 brews, spec weapon and 5 rocktail. Don't heal with brews unless you have to, but when you do, brew twice, restore, and repot attack and strength. If you absolutely have to range, use slayer helmet/Armadyl/Karil's crossbow/soul wars cape and pray eagle eye at all times. Merc gloves are equal to barrows gloves and fury is superior to stole. riderr_boi26
Never even considered melee, if you say it's possible I guess I'll try it. I do have a rapier. When I get to Jad how do I distract the healers if I melee? Should I just kill them or what? Edit: spelling
TC3
Ignore healers when fighting jad. I first started doing melee fire capes a few weeks ago and they are extremely easy and very fast. Never once have I distracted the healers during the jad fight, it is quite unnecessary.

How do you pray when 360s and 180s are around. Just lure the 180s behind the 360s and prot mage until dead? Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
Quyneax
Lure the 180s, kill the 180s, doesn't really matter. With soul split you can lure them for healing after, without soul split you'll probably want to lure them to avoid damage, but anytime that's inconvenient you should just kill them. They only have like 800 health anyway. Zaaps1
Out of curiosity, I heard a rumor that they changed the Jad sounds and animations. Is this true? And to what degree? This is compared to a few months ago. ~It's Super Effective! Quyneax
They changed them so that you can now apparently hear the ranged sound before it hits, unlike before, when you would always pray range and switch to mage on sound when Jad was off-screen.
