So what with the double barrows week coming up, I thought I'd do a few barrows runs. I haven't done ROTM so don't have Akrisae, but I have done branches of darkmeyer, so I have the medallion. Whats the most efficient way to bank, and to kill each brother? I don't have high enough melee stats for pure melee to be > mage/melee mix, but I was thinking mage on the 4 melee brothers, then claw specs on one of Ahrim/Karil and rapier on the other, but I can't remember. And I guess a vecna skull is the best boosting item to use as I don't have extreme mages yet. Stats are in sig, thanks for any help. I'd be using water surge or ice blitz as a spell, probably water surge as the extra 20 damage probably isnt worth an extra 800gp/cast cost.

Use polypore staff, its epic and cheap. claw out ahrim and he reduces your states

+1 for polypore. SoA is probably about the same if not worse at your level.

 

I don't have Akrisae, but my current run looks like this:

 

Spec out Ahrim

Free cast on Dharok with pro melee (no freeze)

Kill the other brothers, leaving Torag and Karil, using freeze + PPS

Spec out Karil

 

Depending on the brother I meet in tunnels, I may sip a dose of ppot.

 

After the run, teleport with ardy cape 3 to restore prayer, Drakan Medallion back to Barrows. Don't worry about medallion charges since it holds ten and recharging is trivially easy.

 

Gear is mix of magic bonus and defense (ie Ahrims top + verac skirt)

 

This makes for very simple and easy runs and cost very little.

I'd suggest go on full on melee def, as long as your magic attack is above -20, you won't notice the difference with higher magic attack. All brothers, except ahrim, have exceptionally bad magic def.

Verac's Skirt

Ragefire/Infinity/Wizard/Mystic/Splitbark boots

Seer's Ring/Explorer's Ring 3+ with a RoW for swapout

Barrow's Gloves

Polypore Staff

Arcane Spirit Shield/Blessed Spirit Shield/Normal Spirit Shield

 

With D Claws, Rapier and D Defender in inventory.
