Hmmm, running with a knife!

Everything looks good except the table, which looks odd because of how it ends.

He's... not the sharpest knife in the drawer XD

And the table ending is because my paper did the same thing.

Then it should leave the page, rather than stop just short...Or have a leg at the back or something.

So like...

THE PUN IT BURNS

a70c7.png

I actually saved the layers for this one, so if something looks just plain wrong, I can change it and see how it looks. As usual, please state anything that you can think of to make it better in detail - and some possible ways to go about doing it. All I have right now is GIMP, and I ain't downloading/buying/pirating something else.

Straighter lines, that's an easy fix.

Year 404 (CDIV) was a leap year starting on Friday of the Julian calendar. At the time, it was known as the Year of the Consulship of Honorius and Aristaenetus (or, less frequently, year 1157 Ab urbe condita). The denomination 404 for this year has been used since the early medieval period, when the Anno Domini calendar era became the prevalent method in Europe for naming years.

Events:

January 1 - The last gladiatoral competition is held in Rome.

The dome in Ravenna is built by the entire population of the city.

Gwanggaeto the Great of Goguryeo attacks Liaodong and takes the entire Liaodong Peninsula.

The Chinese Buddhist monk Huiyuan, who founded the Pure Land Buddhism sect and the monastery on Mount Lushan, writes the book On Why Monks Do Not Bow Down Before Kings in this year. In his book he argues that although the Buddhist clergy should remain independent and undisturbed by politics, the Buddhist laymen nonetheless make good subjects under monarchs, due to their fear of retribution of karma and desire to be reborn in paradise.

John Chrysostom is deposed again, and Archbishop Atticus of Constantinople becomes Archbishop of Constantinople.

Saint Telemachus is martyred.

Deaths:

Flavian I of Antioch, Patriarch of Antioch

Aelia Eudoxia, wife of the Eastern Roman emperor Arcadius

Claudian, court poet to Emperor Honorius and Stilicho

Empress He Fani, empress of the Jin Dynasty, wife of Emperor Mu

Saint Paula

Saint Telemachus, Catholic monk

Huan Xuan, Jin Dynasty warlord who briefly took over the imperial throne from Emperor An of Jin

Okay, yeah. I tried fixing one of my sketches up so that the lines would be thinner and neater and stuff, but it just looked ugly and/or disproportionate no matter what I tried. And I can't seem to draw eyes any smaller... So sorry Mather, I'm sticking with the way I've been doing this before. I'll still try and fiddle with the shading, though. No promises.

*twitch* IT IS NOT AN EASY FIX. NOT WHEN YOU ARE OCD ABOUT YOUR DRAWINGS.

Is it just me, or does it look like the makers of the Spider-Man musical on Broadway are trying to pull a "The Producers"?

My quick attempt to fix it up.

I just went round the colour boundries with MSpaint paintbrush.

Ideally what you would do is use the medium setting on the colour boundries and the small on the 3D lines. (which would be far easier if the lines are on a seperate layer)

Oh, also cleaned up the mouth and hairline.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

...*facedesk*

I forgot that I have MS Paint >.<

And yeah, I guess that works, although the line seems a bit too thick for my tastes. So maybe I'll mess around with the zoom and stuff first...

a70c7.png

Needed a thicker line to go over all the bits =P

Just toying with opacity to get the hair right, ended up redoing the mouth and eye =P

Lol Archi.

And Space is... indefinitely postponed? Are you going to try to start it again after Hegemony?

At the moment is is just postponed, got the laptop back, got dropbox back

So I am relatively set to start it up again, all I need is an extra 72 hours in a week and we are good to go =P

In the meanwhile, have some relaxing music:

Draw us an artist's interpretation of the battle of the Bulge.

Tomorrow. For now, sleep.
