HexiledRazz
I REALLY hate making fight cave topics because i know they're posted so often >.> But, i couldn't find this info anywhere. And i want to get my second fire cape and try for my TokHaar-Kal before the early bird special is up. I know polypore is the new best way to complete the caves for *most* players. However, would Polypore + gano, asn, ovls & 96 mage triumph over rapier + barrows, ovls & turmoil with maxed melees? I would still bring polypore + gano to mage the 360s since kiting is a pain and it's not like i have an inventory space issue with flasks. Lastly i heard that there's a new safespot at the revamped caves that only 1~ monster at a time can attack you at. Is this true? And if so, where is it? Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005. The_Fray
The last time I tried meeleeing the caves, it was more of a pain than anything (I kited the 360s). You are better off just using polypore unless you have the money for SOA. You are also in the same situation as me, where magic xp > meelee xp. Polypore doesn't give a lot of xp but its still better than meelee xp imo.
Zeno
I'm going to steal this amateur picture Vezon_Dash used to describe the location to Hedgehog The white circled one is the only one that can hurt you. If you see it spawn there, just run to the other side of the pillar, and you are safe once again. I know it's poorly done, but i think it would get the point across better than me explaining it basically hide in that small crook behind that pillar in the circled area, the other spots show most of the spawns, and only one can hit you, unless more than one spawns in the area where they can get you, but it's still easy to separate them I'm no real expert on the difference in combat styles in the fight caves, so I cannot give advice on melee vs. magic, sorry :( Stats[hide][/hide]Click for my adventurer's log

That's what i was looking for, haha. I went into the caves real quick to have a look around. I did find it for myself, but i didn't feel like testing it to make sure that it was the spot >.> Wonder if they'll fix it =S Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005. Jadinko
I used bandos, rapier, defender, overloads and turmoil and completed the caves in 38 minutes off task. I didn't kite anything or safespot and used under 5 brews for the whole thing. The order of killing was pray mage and kill 360, then soulsplit the rest of the wave. Try it out  Miseryism | Completionist

Hedgehog
It's certainly doable, and I've done so in the past, but honestly, it's way too much effort (you have to constantly ss flash/brew) and your chance of getting koed is very high. It's much easier just to kite/pps them.
Leon S
Polypore is a bit slower than Melee (by around 8 - 10 minutes in total), but it's generally safer than Melee (especially on the 360's and Jad) and requires less attention. With Melee it takes around 35 - 37 minutes to complete the Fight Caves. Around 42-45 minutes with polypore and 32 minutes with Storm of Armadyl. Powerfrog
In terms of speed: SoA > Rapier > Poly In terms of ease: SoA > Poly > Rapier I'd personally use SoA. You'll use less than 1k casts, 2.5m, and it will be very fast, and there will be little time to mess up on jad as he dies so quickly. If 2.5m is a lot of money for you, use poly for caves and SoA on jad and "difficult" waves (Where you have multiple 90s and 180s and a 360) Plus you don't have to worry about jad's melee, which makes it 5 times harder. Fallstar
Even when meleeing Jad, there's no need to worry about his melee attack. Just treat him like a 360 with a prayer switch. (Although to answer the OP, soa is both fastest and easiest.) Asmodean <
