Are Dragons good money?

Well, the title says it all really. I have used this website for a few months to help me out in-game with skills and such, but I am in desperate need to make some money. I was thinking of going to Green Dragons, but the amount of bots there is ridiculous and I am likely to get pked for a full invent of bones which I don't even have.. That's life, huh! But anyway.. I tried Blue Dragons earlier with Range (Level 50) and it was incredibly slow and took quite a long time.. I am combat 90, and I have attack 72, str 70, def 72, rnage 50, range 50, prayer 46, constitution 71. I hope that you guys can give me some pointers with monsters to attack to make some money? Thanks :)

Do What Lies Below, giving you access to the Chaos Tunnels (which has green dragons). You won't be pked there as it's not in the wilderness. Also try doing some slayer (it's not excellent money but it gives you motivation to train your melees) and herb runs - you should at least try to be able to plant ranarr.

Definitely don't range dragons when you're only level 50 in it. If you really want to safespot them, I suggest doing it in the ogre city or getting the required dungeoneering for the taverly resource dungeon. The two places I mentioned are Blue Dragons because Green Dragons are completely out of the question; there are too many botters and anywhere there isn't, it's probably camped by higher leveled people. Dragons aren't good training material nor are they great money makers right now. It tends to be outclassed by easier, safer, and simpler methods which I suggest you do if you simply want a source of income. Things like tanning hides, reselling from shops, picking up summoner seconds, making mid-way supplies, etc etc.

As for killing monsters for money with added experience, the most common answer you'll get is slayer. It isn't that great in my opinion, and especially when you have those stats, it will probably seem tedious. I can't come up with any non-skill related monsters that drop good stuff while being good training material, but there are a lot of them. Even killing monsters for their bones could be profitable.

Ultimately, I suggest training to a higher level before doing anything. Range and Mage will pay off in the long run.

You can melee dragons for money and you can cannon them as well, which is probably better still because you will get the same profit with free ranged xp. Since your normal training method (magic shortbow) is really slow at your level, but cannon is the same xp anyway, it's more beneficial to cannon now than at a higher level. If that makes sense :P.

Just a note, you don't need to do what lies below to do access the chaos tunnels

If you do What Lies Below, you get a non-wildy entrance to the Chaos Tunnels.

While this maybe true, it is still worth using the edgeville entrance. Unless you are maxed/close to maxed, you will have little trouble with pkers. And even if you do occasionally see one, you can tab it out of there before teleblock hits you.
