Bad911
1. Is glory amulet better than a ASN at rock lobsters? What stats affect the collateral damage? I don't actually have problems with the ASN because I purposely switch between the rock lobsters so they all die at the same time. 2. Some f2p dungeoneers literally rage quit when I had my "Share XP" on. I got called all sorts of names, despite my dungeoneering being 3x higher than theirs. Was there a new update I don't know about? Share XP only affects me...I have skillers so I would know. What is going on?
JeRambo
1. I'd think ASN is better. 2. Having shared xp off makes it easier to locate the critical path, or so I've been told by DGS. I honestly just heard about this 2 days ago as well. I guess it's a requirement to DG with them now. "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." JeRambo
I feel trolled. Every dungeon I was told to put it off. They even got mad when I didn't.. levine1996
In F2P, you typically try to only open the critical path, which only consists of skill doors that give between 210 and 255 xp. It is much more annoying to figure that out if people have shared xp on. Don't you just open key doors and leave any skill doors unopened?E: I just read your answer again, how do you know which doors give a certain amount of xp? What does any of this have to do with turning shared xp on?
Quyneax
No. When a player has shared xp on and another person opens a skill door, they get less xp and the person with shared xp gets a bit as well. So it's harder to see what the total xp was, because you need to do some math. So I guess there is a good reason for it after all. In p2p it matters less because you want to open all doors anyway for the most xp. Quyneax
Eh I guess we are reputable, but I don't know whether this theory is from DGS or proven or anything, I'm just saying that *if* you rely on it, shared xp is annoying. Cheefoo
The only advantage relevant to rock lobster bursting an amulet of glory has over an ASN is a bit of defence and prayer. Chances are, you won't even need the defence anyway. But on the flipside, if you don't have an ASN, don't fret about getting one for rock lobsters. The difference isn't that big due to the way damage boosts only affect one target. Of course, if you already have one, just use an ASN over glory. levine1996
Q is being modest, DGS is very reputable. I believe that the 210-255 actually comes from DG Family, which is the most reputable f2p dg clan. In my experience, the 210-255 is right at least 99% of the time. I base all of my dungeoneering on it. Any time I think it didn't work, I assume that I just misread my xp counter.
